The question is, what would be a serious bid, that the BOD, would have to consider. If we get a 7 billion pound PFS, then 2 billion or one pound a share, is not a serious offer, and the BOD, can and I suspect, will dismiss it. It is not about, what the share price is at any given moment. It's about the BOD, acting in the best interests of the shareholders. Again, we have no serious bids. We don't know, if there have been any. But anyone, apart from BHP, can go hostile. Why haven't they? Because, what they want to bid, maybe would be accepted by PI's, but rejected, by the main shareholders. Therefore, why waste time on a hostile bid, that was doomed to fail. If we get a hostile bid, which I am in some doubt we will. It won't be under one pound a share.

rcgl2, the word is firm intention, the BOD decides, if it's a serious offer, not the person bidding. Why do we get hostile bids. Because a discussed bid is never made public.

Hello rcgl2, I worked for a company for 35 years, in that time, we were taken over 3 times. However, plenty of others tried, and offers above our share price, were never made public. So you do not have to disclose all offers. As you say, it's a firm intention, and if the BOD, doesn't think it represents value for the shareholders, it does not need to be announced. I know this, as twice in that time, hostile bids were launched, declaring, that the BOD, refused to put their offer to a shareholder vote. Both attempts failed. It's up to the BOD, to act in the best interest of shareholders.

Miagi, your last statement is correct, that's how hostile bids occur, because the BOD refuses to put it to its shareholders. So what would stop a hostile bid. The answer is, if they don't think it will succeed.

Sorry Miagi, that is not the case, The BOD have to act in the best interest of shareholders. Hostile bids happen, because an approach to the company is turned down. Any BOD can turn down a bid. So the BOD can turn it down, and they can choose, wherever to go hostile or not .

Miagi, if he could defend his position, of course he wouldn't announce it, no way does one pound a share have to go public, especially if the NPV is over 3 pounds a share, with the PFS, that is a very low ball offer.

Good afternoon Colonel, one pound a share values Solgold at about just over 2 billion. How do we know that hasn't already been rejected. NM has a rough idea of the PFS, so this could be around 7 billion pounds. He wouldn't accept one pound a share, and once the PFS is published, no other party is going to sell their shares for one pound a share, apart from CGP, if they are still in existence.

Well what's the evidence for that. None, as so far, no one has challenged Solgolds bid for CGP.
I don't believe that NCM or BHP, will sell their holdings cheap.

I agree Jerry, we have no evidence, that a bid is looming, usually something leaks out, but as I have said consistently, where is the evidence.

Hello addicknt, sorry you are misinterpreting what I have said. Yes at 19.20 yesterday I said that. What I was saying is what has changed. You can't take one line out of a post, and add your interpretation, read all my posts, they are consistent, if nothing else. Why won't a competitor, wait till DFS or BFS, if something changes, I agree. Not too long ago, nearly all the people that believed a bid was imminent, said Solgold would never get CGP, that the big boys would acquire it. Now they are saying, they want Solgold to acquire it, as it makes a bid easier.
The point is I look at the facts, and form an opinion.
Some on here, twist the facts, to suit their opinion. ( I am not accusing you of this, it's mostly the gruesome twosome, plus Tiger ).
On the point of selling cheap.
My point is, NM will never sell cheap, so no friendly deal is going to happen, He has ruled out JV's so many times, but people on here, reckon NM, has lied, or is bluffing.
So we are left, with going to production, or a hostile bid.
Unfortunately a hostile bid, still means being brought out cheap, the only way, we get full value, is to go to production, I know this, and you know this. So when you say we get brought out, you accept, we will be brought at a discount, or as I have said on the cheap.
The only point I am making, is that if NM is good for his word, he won't let this happen without a fight.
On cooperate Activity, you are correct, I don't understand the strength of companies like BHP, I admit that, I have always done sales, financial, or Mostly technical roles, up to retirement.
I have never been a manager or had any decision making role.
But As a technical lead on many occasions, I have been involved in the relevant meetings, that have involved some technical Aspect. Of course, I am not told the whole story, but often you can guess what is happening, from the information required .
I think this story, hasn't run it's course yet, let's see what happens, If I am quoting you correctly addicknt, you say that Solgold, will never produce, a DFS.
