RE: Conspiracy theories6 Oct 2020 14:57
Good afternoon, DartFrog, first of all thank you for the support of some of my views. Quite brave to agree with me these days, although not on all points, which I quite understand,
You raise a good point, I have an idea why some want a sale, but obviously doesn't cover everybody, so please no abusive posts in response to this post.
I think the investors, that have been doing this a long time, understand how to value a company, and are quite relaxed wherever we go to production, or we are sold for near to full value. ( I fall in that camp ).
Some on here are elderly and want the money now, as they want to spend it and have fun doing it. some may need it.
Some are younger, and don't understand maybe about returns made on tying up capital, in something that has a good story, and thus make a killing.
Some are distressed investors themselves, and need the money, and have either taken a punt, expecting a fast return, or don't understand markets. ( some of those, wanting a quick buck, have been here years, and constantly moan about it ).
My point is their are many reasons, and probably more, I haven't mentioned or thought of.
So I do understand their frustration.
I do believe that their individual circumstances, clouds their judgement, but that is my opinion only, and not fact.
But I see this as good news, whatever class of investor you are, because as you say DartFrog, exit points along the way, so if you have got this far, less downside, than there was years ago.
All the best.
