allthatguff, again if you say it, it doesn't make it true, Miagi, and addicknt, Copperpot, Jerry, and many others all put their point across in polite and strong argument. These people are in my mind worth listening too, I would include you in that statement, and many others.
It's the people that cannot state their reasons, and cannot answer questions on why they believe what they believe, that get annoyed.

Hi allthatguff, instead of insulting me, you could explain why no bid has happened up to now, as that to me and others, would be interesting.
Also useful if you could explain what the bid range would be between , taking into account, that this is difficult to bid for.
Forget the PI's we don't matter, what price would say Newcrest sell their holding for.

Hi Miagi, yes BHP have a reduced percentage in June 2020, you have said this, so you do understand what I mean, this can be done again if needed.
On the question of why no one has made a bid, you state that it's anyone's guess, but then state a bid is coming.
So hopefully you can explain that point, as to me, it makes no sense.
The reason no one is going to bid is many fold, all arguments, which I have hopefully presented in a clear fashion.
I have no evidence to think otherwise.
No one is taking out each others holdings.
The reason for this, is it would push the price up.
Let's all remember, that a bid on the value of the PFS, would have to be over 2 pounds a share, that doesn't take into account any other tenements undergoing exploration, or indeed the majority of the tenements not undergoing exploration.
As we prove more up, and more importantly get PEA's PFS's ETC ETC on other tenements, the official value will increase.
So the fact no one has bid yet, and they will bid later, to me doesn't hold water. Because the bid would have to be higher still.

Sorry Miagi, you make my point. The BHP bid wasn't serious, and the diverse book, leaves BHP with a reduced percentage holding.
BHP can make a serious bid at any time, indeed anyone can, but they haven't. May I ask why you think that is ?

If you are on about the argument, that a major will take this out, as it will not allow a minnow like Solgold to become a major, I see that.
If you are on about CGP could sell out to BHP or anyone else wanting to take us over, I see that.
I just follow the most likely course, based on the facts and evidence.
Anyone can bid for us, at any time. Forget about the argument that no one would bid before BHP. That's nonsense.
You have to ask yourself two questions.
CGP have had no bids, Why? Apart from us.
No one has bid for Solgold, Why?

I know why, hence my position.
However if I have any other gapping holes, please feel free to point them out, as I will not be offended, and will either answer them as fully as I can, or say, yes you are correct, I never considered that.

Hi addicknt, no I am not, you know my position on this. The share register on a non distressed company, makes us harder to take out. So if someone, wants to make a bid, it will not be low ball. Hence we are not getting under 2 pounds a share. ( I really don't like making predictions) I don't believe your position is that different to mine. We just express it in different ways. To sum up, you believe we will get a large bid and be taken out. I believe that, no one will make a bid, with the share register, looking like it is, as they would need to overpay, so we continue onwards to production.

On the contrary rcgl2, I could be wrong. If we get sold for under 1 pound a share, I have got this wrong. All other scenarios, I am correct.

Hi Steve, addicknt and I, always politely agree to disagree. I do enjoy his take on cooperate structures, as my knowledge is weak in this area. Where I come into my own, is that I have been doing this 40 years now, and know the difference between the sale of a distressed company. And the defence of a non stressed company. We are the latter. However we all want the same thing. All the best.

Good morning addicknt. Up to now on the takeover, I have been correct. People have been shouting takeover every week for the last seven years. Funny I don't believe we have been taken over even once. May I ask, you once said a diverse book, made us weaker. Would you like to explain your thinking, or maybe rethink that statement.

Morning allthatguff and Copperpot, this is tough. As for a JV, you are correct, as I believe we can do this on our own. But we have had so many twists and turns on this journey, well who knows. The only thing that makes sense to me, is that we don't get taken out as a distressed sale. Would be nice to have the PFS, and an outline of funding to bring Alpala to production. If Newcrest want to keep their stake and won't sell to Bhp or anyone else. Then that is part of any takeover defence. I have always said the diversity of the book, makes this difficult to take over.

BODs have shake ups now and again. Also the Alpala committee is nothing more than the planning and construction of Alpala. Business as usual.

You said that this year, which means that we would be sold by the end of this year.
Don't understand why you even mention the PFS.

Sorry addicknt, I do understand the difference between DFS and PFS.
Hence at the time you said it, DFS was predicted for second quarter 2021. So your prediction was we will be sold by end of 2020.

His addicknt, correct you did say that after release of standstill, that nothing would happen immediately. Your predication about this all being over by year end, was in response to my post, that we are heading towards the DFS, and onto production. Which you replied, we will not get to DFS, this will be over by the end of the year, or words to that effect. Also don't think we are in for any nasty surprises. After all next year we are going to have another issue to continue drilling.
