Smickster look up Racism, it's not that simple, I think you are confusing racism with prejudice.
White nationals experience prejudice as well as people of all nations.
But white British born nationals cannot experience racism in this country, as we are the indigenous population, and so the term does not apply.

Hello Robizm1001, sorry to hear that after 10 years that you had enough, as the Met needs more people like you, where I sit, they have made improvements, but still some way to go. You raise a good point, that not all racism is conscious. I agree with you, that most of the younger generation are colour blind, and this gives us hope.
Let's hope as the younger generation enter public life, that racism becomes less prevalent, as this benefits all of us, and leads to a more cohesive and peaceful society for all.

It wasn't so long ago, that people argued that it would be madness to give women the vote. I doubt anyone will make that argument today. Remember just as democracy is hard won, and easily lost, so are human rights.

States to watch on the night.
Florida, if Biden takes Florida, very hard for Trump to win.
Texas, If Biden takes Texas, then it's all over for trump.
Pennsylvania, Trump won this last time round, by the smallest of margins, this is one to watch on the night.
Arizona, this has been a republican stronghold since 1957, apart from the 1996 election, where Bill Clinton won it for one term. I am very interested in this, as slight lead to Biden in the polls, if Trump loses this stronghold, he's toast.
Wisconsin, Trump won this by a small majority, he is ahead in the polls there. He must win this.
Georgia. Left the best for last. It has voted Republican since 1972, and is 50/50 at the moment. If Trump loses this, his party will probably kick his backside, all round the White House.

In Societal studies, we have something called the horseshoe effect. ( please read up about it everyone, if your not familiar )
It basically says that people at the extremes, are similar, and closer to each other, than people in the center.
Not some wild theory, but has been shown to be true in all studies.

Agreed Copperpot, Trump is finished. I don't know if you watched question time last Thursday night. But one of Trumps former staff, was on the panel. He was sacked after 11 days. People who are republican, and currently work for Trump, will be voting for Biden. I will be staying up to watch Biden get elected, so that he can rejoin the Paris accord, and the USA, will once again create much needed jobs in the steelbelt, to build electric cars and green power sources. Trump is in trouble, if even his own people, won't vote for him.

HI Copperpot, I am familiar with the long walk, my father was one of the 10,000, that walked from a Russian Gulag and spent 5 years on his own, from the age of 7 till 12, he eventually walked to Aden, where a British rescue ship brought him to the UK, as part of the rescue mission. Even though other children were picked up, some still died of starvation on his ship, as their bodies where so badly ravaged by hunger, that they couldn't take food. It saddens me, that we have people in this world, who speak without thinking, just how much suffering there is in the world and hatred for people that are different. I would like to say thank you to you Copperpot, Shipright and all the others that don't stay silent on all forms of hatred.

Just think about that for a minute. When you hear about someone who is close to you dies, it's a traumatic experience.
Think how traumatic it is for millions to die over a few years. People in their prime, who had no reason to die early, except that they fought for the lives of their families and friends, and a future for all to come.
