This can be defended. Because no one on a very diverse book, is going to say let's sell our shares cheap. Their share of Solgold is an appreciating asset. The diverse book makes this almost impossible to bid for. As they would have to obtain the shares of many parties to be successful. No one is going to sell cheap.
A bid would have happened after the PEA, if we were going to get one. The let's sell brigade, all said this. Now they are saying, the majors will buy after the PFS, as they want to pay for a known quantity. When this doesn't happen, I will predict it will be the DFS. It goes on and on
I have been invested for 7 years in this share now, and every week, someone has predicted an imminent sale.

What you say could happen, however a lot would have to change.
Let's cover your funding argument first. The payback of funding Alpala is under 4 years, at PEA. Let's see what it is at PFS. Ingo is confident, this can be raised with no dilution. The comments on minimal dilution, referred to CGP offer, and maybe further exploration.
Yes BHP, have been rearranging their finance, as they say, that they are investing in owned projects to increase production. Let's see what happens with the PFS, and if we can finance Alpala on our own.
Lastly, the book is diverse, so nobody is getting this cheap. Let's see how a bid would hit a moving target.

Let's look at the facts.
Newcrest could have bid any time, they haven't.
BHP, could have agreed a deal, with NM, while in standstill, they haven't.
Anyone can bid for CGP, they haven't.
I agree, both Newcrest and BHP, would like a bigger share, they just have to pay up. They haven't.
I am ignoring none of the facts addicknt.
I once said, onwards to the DFS, end of next year.
I remember you replying, that we won't get a DFS, as it will be sold by the end of this year.

Quite right AKGold, those are additional facts, as we have directly observed NM saying these.
Once would be enough, but he has said these things on more than one occasion.
Let's just enjoy the ride.
There will be exit points, I suspect however, that when we reach 50 pence a share, all those that said they will take it, won't.
Why not? Because of greed, and missing out. As once we achieve 50 pence, it will be because of news. People will then say, why doesn't NM sell, as we could get a pound. Same story, same arguments, also same misunderstanding of the direction of Solgold, and how markets work.

People fail to listen to what NM says, and post what they thought he meant.
This is what my posts are mostly about.
Listen to what NM says, as they are the facts.
As a fact is an observation made directly or indirectly. Facts are used to build an evidential case.
So what has been said.
We are not venturing into JV's.
We are only selling at full value, or near full value.
We have the opportunity to become the BHP of Ecuador.
We have the ability to go to production, as we can raise the money independently, and do not require help on this.
We have the expertise, and can buy in the engineering expertise, to construct and bring Alpala to production.

Good morning Timid, what Bhp bid is a fait accompli, as far as I know, no bid has been tendered, apart from a failed bid, a while back, when Solgold was in a much weaker position to defend a bid. But it still failed.
Today is a different story entirely, and Solgold, can defend in a much stronger way, and month by month, getting stronger still.

Hi DartFrog, agree with your post, however I wouldn't worry about flooding the market. The world is in recession now because of Covid. When we come out of this, the metals market is going to go wild. We will never have enough copper, so some businesses, won't get the copper they need, and production will be lowered, or prices will increase.

Hi rcgl2, it's a good question.
What I think, is that because we have the facility to reduce Franco Nevada to 0.5% of NSR, then any future financing to build Alpala, will be financed on more favourable terms for the takeoff part, which I hope would form the smaller part of the debt.
On loans, we would arrange the facility, and it would be advanced slowly, at different parts of the build, and so reduce our interest payments.
Also let's see the revised figure for the amount of years to pay back the debt in the PFS.

Good afternoon Almostdone, the reason NM has said no to JV's are many, but the main reasons are, they don't control the project and hence the build, they have to share the profits, and they would find financing more difficult.
I know some would say the opposite on financing, but we don't want finance from Newcrest or BHP, as this is not something, that Solgold would have control of, as financing could be removed, or held up, at various stages.

Good afternoon Addicknt, No certainly don't think that, however I do believe that if Alpala can as a project obtain the funding to go to DFS, with just the PEA, and obtain full funding through debt and offtake agreements, to build Alpala.
Then any project, that proves to be the size of Alpala, or anything bigger, can be developed in the same vein.
My point is the further we go to production on Alpala, the easier it becomes for a financing model, for other proven up tenements, as we develop the finance model, by progressing Alpala.

But ask yourself a question. Why not fund further exploration from debt, once Alpala funding is sorted.
I personally don't believe we get CGP for 3.5 million, someone will offer above that and pay up for construction.
We don't require JV's as, we can fund and finance further developments, from debt, once we have a PEA for them.

That's what I believe smickster, but didn't post, as unsure.

Good morning Copperpot, I liked your comment on the rolling stones, as I do play guitar, and it tends to be rock and blues, although very rusty.
But more interesting is the Solgold share price, would appreciate yours and others thoughts on our current situation.
To me it's not a bid rumour, otherwise we would be far north of 50 pence today, but looks like we are expecting more results on our other tenements with licenses, I do wonder how much the PFS is priced in, as I believe if we come in at 7 billion dollars, it explains our current share price, however if, as some have commented on here, it is higher, then we may see another push in the right direction, and more importantly, underpinned at a higher price.
