Would that have been Chelverton: declared today (RNS) at 5.35%? Zero to hero. That's very good, and validates/comforts me for my recent buy in! I like Chelverton. Am topping up a little. It's down 4% today on the massive sales of £118.80!

Bought about a year ago, so down almost 50%. But if their EBIT guidance is good ($11m for the year) I see a re-rate as likely, and the other news since the results has been positive. No further word from the company. Topped up. Will forget if I hold off!

Topped up at 34.9. Fallen today, and I see no good reason, except possibly manipulation to build a stake by an institution. Interestly this morning someone sold 100k shares, and 30 secs later there was a 200k buy at just 0.7% above the sell: rather than the stated 6% spread. A technique to cheapen your buy price?? Risky if so. Price has continued on down: they were at 36.3ish. Lucky me?

I like this for the reasons others have stated, for the short term. In the longer term I wonder if it may spread into set up for solar pv in the deserts, and maybe wind and even geothermal. Logic says that will happen (!!!) so it might eventually, and if it does it could be on a vast scale. Makes me wonder how to get into set up for offshore wind.

Dividend raised by 20%: that shows confidence, they normally increase by 10% - never this much. Yes, I'm happy.

That sounds all or nothing to me. Hopefully Scotty's gone and with Avalon, the loan money and a clean slate they can make a go of it. Energy storage is the hottest topic around at the moment, if they can't do it now they never will.

Fortunately I sold for personal reasons in May last year and never saw the right moment to come back. Recently into Bushveld [sadly that's no recommendation, "I'm lost too!"] so saw the connection with RedT from that side. I'm not sure that Bushveld shows any sign of wanting to own VRFB manufacturers, but they do want to encourage the industry as it's a great long term market for them if it takes off. It looks like they trust Avalon a whole lot more than RedT. I wonder why!!

I'm guessing the 8% rise is because they are indicating they are 32% undervalued: and buying their own shares to prove it...?

I've been wondering how to get into renewable energy. I have made a small investment in VRFB batteries and vanadium based storage, and mining, but wanted something to do with energy production. Seemed to me that the transport side was vital, since there are many places where green energy is there for the taking but how do you get it from the middle of the ocean/desert to city centre London? Hydrogen of course is a nightmare, transporting it at near absolute zero temperatures. That led to googling energy density of fuels, which took me to ammonia. A lot on Australian websites. They have an abundance of potential green energy, and are looking to how to export it. AMMONIA seemed to be what they were lighting on. The other day nickel_investor made a very good call on another website (as he did yesterday here, expecting a fall from 25). I checked him out and saw what else he was following. Ammonia stood out in AFC and I was lucky enough to get in at about 15.5. Small start.... Thinking of topping up.... Nickel?! :)

The trouble is yesterday's statement held out no hope for any uptick until at least Q2 2020.

Do you mean while he's calling it short and trying to persuade us to follow him that in fact he's betting on a rise??!! Lol, that would take some doing!

I have to say I appreciate those who explain and as best as possible justify their views on these boards, whether positive or negative. Just don't say you're long and then talk it down! But every opinion that is explained and justified is grist to the mill and helpful. Thank you.

I was wrong. I've only just seen this, I don't trade. While I was quite ready for it to flop back into the 40's again prior to any solid update, but (although it's only just undercut the lower end of the guidance) in the light of the RNSs in July and September I did think when we got solid news it would be a lot more positive than this. Yuck.

Sprog this Roadshow Brochure is very interesting. I've only seen this all today so have little knowledge. I'm struck by the sheer amount of storage in the H Power systems. Even the smallest L20, available next month, has enough for up to 7 rapid charges from zero (of, say, a 40 kWh Nissan Leaf), and that's without recharging. Next up the L160 will have 8 times the recharging power and so support up to 30 recharging points, and the L400+ available in June 2021 should have 20 times the recharging power and hence support "up to 100 recharging points" - all depending on the usage. These latter 2 in 40' containers. Read for yourselves, I may have misinterpreted: but this seems massive. A lot will depend on the pricing of course!

Bought in today. After such a rise it may of course get clobbered, so it's a small one. But I've been looking for a way to get into energy storage, which seems to me is going to be absolutely crucial. This has potential not only for using ammonia, which is easily transported and hence allows deserts etc to be used for power generation and transported anywhere in the world, but also for the membranes in VRFBs (Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries), which have huge potential for grid storage - IMHO!

PS 2 thoughts. 1. It's great to see the international revenues jumping so much, finally they seem to have made a breakthrough there, and just when the N. American market is pausing. 2. When we get the finals in 6 months I hope there will be some good news about the geothermal market. With the world turning away from oil in the long term, and needing to, that holds long term promise (and is why I am happy to remain invested here).
