I don't know whether this has been pointed out before, but after reading Oak Bloke's latest right up kn DSC, a familiar doom and gloomer got a mention!:
"Speaking of which - just for a nanosecond - considered should I unfilter and read the drivel from GG? That madness quickly passed."
That did make me chuckle.
Same here too, both GIA & ISA.
George, I'm not sure whether you're oblivious to just how foolish and immature you sound (in which case pity you), or you're trolling everyone, which suggests your life is so empty that you nothing better to do with your time (in which case I pity you). It's just sad now.
So much green. GG back again? Doom and gloom predictions? All riveting, insightful and mature commentary I'm sure. Sorry I missed it!
The UK market is stagnant / on the decline and not exactly favourable to O&G.
Is the US listing going to magically turn things around? No, but something needed to change. A solid and well run company stuck in terminal decline. A fresh set of investors and a more sympathetic market is probably just what's needed imo.
No sign of everyone's favourite naysayer for a while?
"Lol, NO ! ~ means approximately !"
Time for some new glasses. Thought that was a minus!
Don't those say (negative) "~$110 million of liquidity. ..' then (positive) $120 million...'?
I hope you're right. I'm ready to pull some funds out of BT and diversify them.
"Oh i'm so glad i filtered this moron yesterday."
Same. That feature is an absolute godsend.
...a pre-cursor to a bid perhaps?, he asks, with everything crossed.
I dpn't think he's suggesting it's Drahi but rather, in a similar vain to when he was upping his stake back in May, current off-book movements suggests 'someone' might be doing the same recently.
I would imagine knowing about future cost reductions, completion of roll-outs etc. being on the horizon is not the same in anyone's eyes as completing those things. After they're done, the Company will be in a much stronger position and will become more attractive to investors... and would you look at that! The share price has increased commensurately. Who would have thought?
I for one appreciate Fleccy's insights. On the other hand, SOM's childish mis-naming of them and, as has been said below, bile is not appreciated and adds nothing.
My two cents.
Aus, he said "if you want to". I wouldn't call that delusional.
2025 ;O)
"How Low can they Go?"
The $64,000 question.
I'm now 15% down and falling. Awesome.
Yeah... When you look at max range chart on Google, it's 89% down from the highs in 2000 (over £10 per share).
On the plus side, I didn't buy any back then!
I just want to sell down most of mine now.
My initial purchase was a 160.8 in Jul 2022 and this seemed like a bargain after a drop from around 180. Each subsequent price drop and purchase seemed too tempting, but it just keeps falling. I've averaged down to 131.6 now which I thought would mean I'd be able to sell down the bulk soon, but with the ex-divi drop etc. I'm currently around 14% down and there seems to be no end in sight.
Paper losses are not the end of the world and the divi eases the pain, but I've had enough of this stock for a few years to be honest.
Nope
