There is still an obligation to declare at 5% and thereafter. Whether they dodge that obligation is another thing. I certainly would not expect to see very much institutional ownership in the 42%. You could ask the company to publish the top 20 names in Orient Capital's analysis....

As for retail in the top 10, if you group the retail together (and there's a couple of names there which I would argue are likely quasi retail) they'd be the second or third biggest holder (and that's without aggregating the retail outside of the top 10). The company has limited institutional sponsorship and for obvious reasons.

Likely riff raff. And a big chunk of the top 10 is retail also. Stock still needs a lot of rotation of its shareholder base. Unfortunately given it's sector, size, liquidity and location of operations winning institutional sponsorship is extraordinarily difficult. Very few can play this name. We need the company back on the bid with the next buyback and that won't happen until we have a new CEO and we're all getting a needle in the shoulder.

With the outlook for the world economy and oil consumption becoming a little clearer they should start the newly approved buyback programme and buy more! A return to capital to those who elect to sell (just like a dividend) and good stock support for those that hold. Expect it to be one of the first orders of business for 2021. Bring it on!!!

What's changed? COVID vaccine success has helped the oil price but that needs to translate into new buyers of GKP. Where's the new, fresh money? Mum + Dad retail isn't enough.

Errr, Brent down 1.5% today. Lot's of headwinds for the next 6 months. Expect GKP to drift lower into mid/low 70s pence.

While I might still expect an RNS, the 'news' is immaterial. The in-circulation share count hasn't changed. It has been 210.3 million for months. Nothing to see here.

The good news is the rise has been accompanied by healthy (relative) volumes. Someone is building their stake.

The cancellation is of no consequence. Don't expect a dividend until we are well over COVID. Even then a buyback would be much more effective for the stock.

Nice to be well in the money on this stock but I'd be surprised if the rally is sustained. Will be quite happy to be surprised though...
