Basically the management have screwed up re Funding. Personally, I believe the largest shareholder & Chairman Lord Waheed Ali is spitting feathers. His CEO Mary Turner & CFO Robert Pursell are a joke. He needs to fire these two clowns & get some youngsters from India running the show, not a couple of has beens. I've never heard so much waffle & bull**** from a CEO before. Hopefully Mary Turner will resign. All she does is waste money & time travelling to India every two weeks.

BwanaMakubwa- looks like I was spot on with what was going on here- even though you said my post was 'crass'. Personally, I believe the CEO Mary Turner needs to go as well as the CFO. She is well out of her depth in India. The company needs some young blood with fresh ideas. Her fortnightly trips to India have obviously been a huge waste of time & money. She needs to retire gracefully & admit she badly screwed up, instead of blaming her poor leadership decisions on everything apart from herself & her team. Her continuous waffle obviously didn't work! What do you think went wrong here? Have you heard anything?

Ultimately, blame must be on the shoulders of CEO Mary Turner who overseas everything. The market & shareholders have had enough of her waffle. She can't back up any of her big talk. Also the CFO Robert Pursell who must have his head buried in the sand. He controls the finances here & has allowed LOSSES to spiral out of control. what is he thinking leaving the market in suspense re funding? Markets do not like uncertainty- FACT! Investors now voting with their feet. The graph since he took over as CFO is a total joke. Looks like he is way out of his depth. The management have let down all shareholders here & must take full responsibility. I urge all shareholders to write to Koovs for an explanation! They better sort out funding NOW

We will not see an emerging e commerce sector of this scale in our lifetimes again. India is the fastest growing major economy on Earth, on the cusp of a digital revolution with a very young middle class population amongst it's 1.3 Billion people. The ex ASOS management here have seen it, done it & no better man to have at the top, then the largest shareholder & media mogul Lord Waheed Alli. Have a look at how many shares & options the Directors have between them- they will make this work. I'm calling the bottom here & adding when I can. I think the Interims may surprise a few of the bears :)

When looking at margins, you need to understand how companies (especially tech companies) scale up growth in nascent, emerging e commerce markets. The big tech companies did it in the US & UK. It has to be done to gain market share. Just have a look at what Amazon are doing in India attaining massive losses to build up market share. If you can't understand this, it's not really worth getting involved at this early stage.

Although Koovs had previously shown negative margins, their last Final Preliminary Results published on 7th Sept 2017, showed a positive trading margin from a previous minus 6% to a now positive 4%. With Interims due out within two weeks & Chairman Lord Waheed Alli stating that they spent very little on marketing over the last six months, I expect to see a further improvement in margins & a sharp decrease in reported losses.

BwanaMakubwa- any more news on the fundraising? As for the fundraising, if there was a problem, under UK listing laws, Koovs would have had to declare it by now. The management have integrity & are competent & I hope wouldn't break any rules. Interims have to be published by the end of December. I believe losses for the first six months of the financial year have significantly reduced from the same period last year combined with improved positive margins. All this together with International launches & a completed fundraising should see Koovs bounce back nicely into the New Year.

The Institutions aren't selling, very small free float here in this illiquid share. Massive overreaction to the downside. The directors are not at all worried, just as Lord Waheed Alli wasn't when ASOS dropped to 4p!! Market Makers have played a blinder on low volumes, spooking weak holders out of their shares.
