The ML Decision: A Matter of When, Not If18 Mar 2025 21:52
Helium One’s Mining Licence (ML) acceptance is now the key milestone everyone is waiting for. With the Tanzanian government having formally offered the ML, the company is in the final stages of review before officially accepting it. This process is not just a formality - it’s about ensuring everything is in place for the next phase of development.
The feasibility study (FS), which was a required component of the ML application, has already been completed and submitted to the Tanzanian authorities. As is standard, the details remain under confidentiality with the government. However, once the ML is accepted, it’s possible that key insights from the FS - such as project economics and development timelines - could be shared with the market, further shaping investor sentiment.
Additionally, the Competent Person’s Report (CPR) may also be progressing in the background. If this has been concluded or is nearing completion, it would add another layer of validation to Helium One’s resource potential. The timing of its release remains uncertain, but it could serve as another major catalyst in the weeks ahead.
While delays in ML acceptance may frustrate some, the reality is that this is a pivotal step for HE1 and one that needs to be handled with precision. Legal, financial, and operational considerations all come into play before pressing ‘go.’ That said, with the offer in hand, the decision could land at any time - bringing HE1 one step closer to unlocking the value of its world-class helium assets.
