RE: Zoom Out. This Is Big.22 Jul 2025 18:32
Bob_triples, you bring up Sirius, it’s a cautionary tale etched into AIM’s history. But comparing it to Helium One is absurd.
Sirius needed more than £3 billion to bring its project into production, including over £1.1 billion just for phase one, and another £2 billion+ for the full infrastructure: a underground tunnel, deep shafts, processing plants, and a dedicated port. It was a monster project, with monster risk, and it collapsed when a crucial $500 million bond raise fell through. The result…. A £405 million fire sale to Anglo American and a brutal outcome for retail holders.
Helium One, by contrast, is playing a smarter, leaner game. It doesn’t need billion-pound infrastructure. It’s targeting early production from a proven helium basin, with far lower capex, shorter timelines, and real institutional interest already backing it, not circling it.
Yes, AIM can sting. But HE1 isn’t building an empire; it’s unlocking a high-value resource in a tightly focused way.
Keep the triple nearby if it helps, just saying, this time it might be poured in celebration. 🥃🔥🚀
