It looks as though you looked at the voting rights, not sure how many voting rights you get for each share. If you look further down the rns it shows you the bit I put in my post.

I have not worked it out properly but I think hmg own about 3.3 billion shares currently.

Also anyone know why some treasury shares have moved over to shares in issue? Is this to do with the staff share scheme?

They are shown as unknown and why would it show a "0" trade who is buying 0,1,2 shares

Check RNS from the 11th December, government are down to below 38% they have been selling, just not directly back to NWG

Looking at the buys and sells it is the unknown trades which are making up the overall volume.

We have a big seller and if it is the government they are getting desperate and selling at this level for what reason? My take is they want to build up some funds to give some tax cuts before the election.

Hopefully the ones that are selling are done and we can move back up

All this mornings gains almost wiped out. UK banking shares are probably the worst stocks to hold.

I will hold until April-May then sell the lot.

A nice decline in inflation tomorrow should see the shareprice towards £2.30 anything but a good decline, well you know the rest.

Looks like we have a big seller, have seen lots of big trades going through over the last month or so, more than likely government off-loading.

Dropping everyday at the moment, always marked down by the UT also, making it lose even mover.

Fair play for taking a profit, most people get to attached to a share and forget the golden rule.

I personally think this is still cheap, so will be hanging on for 2-4 months.
