Good news from the RNS yesterday. Now we have a bit more cash available and some warrants to bring in a bit more when the SP is over 0.15p. I'm quite excited to see what Donovan 2 has after the drill program - 2 large magnetic anomalies there which correspond to the earlier surface sampling. Also, looking forward to see how much silver there might be at San Celso once all the sampling data is interpreted.

earache, all junior explorers need to do regular placings, especially in the current market conditions. I invested in GGP back in 2016, and all they did was placings to do a bit more exploration each time and now look where they are - this is how it works. You take on added risk when investing in explorers at a very early stage and when nobody else is interested, so the potential upside can be much greater over time. The best anyone can do is make a judgement on the quality of the BoD, the balance sheet, the operating locations, and the sector. I am invested here for the same reasons I am invested in Greatland Gold. If you are not prepared to be patient for several years, then you are in the wrong game. IMO.

ChristopheB, your question about what difference it would make to the SP if the market knew when Scallywag drilling will start. Markets hate uncertainty, that's one thing. Another is that there will be a lot of additional sentiment leading up to drilling there, mainly because it looks seriously prospective and potentially multiples of Havieron. Not difficult really.

The bid and offer spread is calculated by a market maker algorithm, but in general the more liquidity and volume the tighter the spread. However, that is an over simplification because market makers will adjust the spread if there is a sell off or a strong demand. In general, living off your investments doesn't work - you need to have a separate income to live on.

If anything, the report shines a positive light for us in terms of what may happen to prices, and is mainly focused on supply. You should be ready to take some disruption to NCM into your investment strategy - for me, that means keeping hold of my GGP shares regardless as I know they will be worth a fortune later on. The MM probably anticipates strong demand. Gold will do well when people think we are heading for high inflation or worse. Of course, copper prices will also improve if people think the current global monetary and fiscal stimulus will create some sort of growth or recovery, and it might for a while as we win the fight against viruses.

Yes, I thought 0.079 on Friday was a good price. All the monetary and fiscal stimulus must lead to an inflationary environment as we overcome the current situation and growth pick up again. Silver and gold will do well when people think we are heading for a wall. Of course, iron and copper prices will improve also if people think the actions now will some sort of growth, and it might for a while. I have no idea if this is the bottom, but if I see a good price I will buy.

We see the term used a lot "top slicing" on this board. Top slicing is something you would do if the fundamentals have changed and / or you no longer have the same conviction about an asset that you once did. But many believe it is a way to manage risk for any asset - it definitely isn't. So what actually happens when you top slice a holding that you really believe has a good future? Well, you are introducing a new risk - that risk is the risk of significantly reducing your compound gain over time. A stock can either go down after a strong rise or continue to move higher. If you top slice and it goes down you are just lucky this time - that's gambling. If it continues to go higher you have just eliminated potential future profits.

Herbieridesaga, my case in point. Slicing the highs supposes that you know where the high is - you don't.

The best long term holders can do is wait it out, buy if the price looks cheap enough, and look forward to a recovery. For traders, they will do their own thing. Nobody knows how bad it will get or when markets will turn. Don't get sucked into the trading mentality - leave it to the professional traders or you will lose. Professional traders manage risk by hedging and do not try to second guess the market. Recoveries always happen, but we don't know when before it happens.

joeian, why are you concerned with today's share price? How about at the end of the year?
