As I thought, trending down now. I really think JV needs to do more to support the sp beyond just putting out quarterly updates, or RNSing acquisitions otherwise all gains will just drift away ad infinitum. This first went over 20p about eight years ago. Frustrating.

Just keep topping up imo. Nothing priced in at these levels. Traders taking a risk being out as a big RNS could land in the near future. Clearly being trading and just as clearly NOT LTHs selling here - why would any LTH sell just as the company is making money for the first time in its history? Makes no sense to do so if you've come this far on the company's journey. I've been steadily topping up even though this pushes my average up a tad. Ignore greenbox human compost. But, top up, hold, be patient. It's that simple.

I wonder if Master is able to post any satellite pics over Gobi or Gazelle? Apologies if they have already done this. I've only kept half an eye on this board this week.

Absolutely no reason this won't go to 5p and more this year. Just for clarity, Buck didn't say the JV wouldn't happen this year, instead he opined that the new JV entity would be hard pushed to get drilling further wells this season although he said it could happen if they partner was in a real hurry to get going. Hence I expect the deal, whatever it is, to be announced this year. Moreover, I foresee an interim announcement fairly soon along the lines of 'we have agreed a deal in principle and we are now thrashing out the details etc and there is a confidentiality agreement in place'. That could easily come in short order as I believe talks have been ongoing for some time. Also, I fully expect at least one major investment relating to Sunsteppe in the near future too. Both of these happen and we'll blast through 5p. I'm in nice profit already but won't sell bean at these levels as I believe we are a company that is going places rapidly.

I think the consensus is that the Chinese remain the most likely partner/buyer. I would genuinely be amazed if they are not in the mix - it's literally a plug and play just up the road from their existing declining field with all the infrastructure in place and tried and tested. The only sticking point I can see is keeping the Mongolians happy, with one eye on their refinery coming on stream in about three years. But a deal can always be made. If the Chinese really want it, they'll get it. Same the world over right now.

I agree. And the Chinese have little to gain by partnering instead of buying the lot, although the Mongolians would want to keep the asset within their purview. So MATD then become the go-between, abridge between the two larger entities. Win-win whatever way you look at it.

I think we'll break 2p at some point tomorrow, if only for a while. Stockbashers have had to pipe down now as they have realised that their coordinated attacks are gaining little traction with the sp. They're pretty obvious really...if Poundland did criminal stockbashing gangs..

Imo the JV or sale will be with the Chinese 'entity'. Sale 'if the price is right' as Buck intimated would be a preferred option as he has clearly been struck how much momentum, money and political will there is in the regional renewables section. So big chunk of change to throw at our ongoing projects in that sector, the rest to a rinse and repeat of the Heron playbook - explore, find, develop to steady production, then JV or sale. New PSC's ready to go and with a much tighter permitting and regulatory framework already in place. Clear as day in my book. An earlier than expected, and bigger, pivot to renewables is on the cards. Energy company, not just an oil company, emerges here in the short(ish) term. Buy, top up, hold, be patient.

My point, made previously, is that we are given individual RNS's for specific investments but rarely, if ever, one for their disposal. We just have to work back from NAV updates. Hence the SP just drifts in between and any highs never hold for long. I accept that the NAV performance is good but not all of us are happy to sit back and wait for the SP to catch up over the next five years, having held here for about eight already. JV seems to think this is a FTSE 100 blue chip rather than a miniscule AIM investment vehicle. In my opinion he could do a great deal more to drive the SP.

Don't forget there's a direct correlation between being a stockbasher and a failed investor. That's all you need to keep in mind. Bin and ignore. They are irrelevant.

No idea why JV just leaves this to drift for weeks and weeks. Last time I invest in a hobby company. If Sid is reading this, can he please post the reply you received from the company to his letter demanding they liquidate all assets. Should at least give us an idea of what's going on.

Not quite in the last week of the month, so should get the first payment some time next week as per the latest RNS.

Yes our Sunsteppe CEO was invited to intergovernmental talks in the Gulf. Always surprised that more wasn't made of this, WOS. Seemed significant to me.

The sp and buying are currently in a 'wait and see what happens next' mode.
