Meanwhile, the UK sits on its hands, thinking that it will not need to put its hand too much into its own pockets, to meaningfully increase its own mining industry - unfailingly, it weds itself to the old economic model of buying even strategically critical minerals from the cheapest producer; and that the currently capricious geopolitical upheavals will fritter away, returning to the its pre-Trump world order.
