RE: Some advice for the news traders30 Jan 2021 13:11
Hi RBM, thanks for taking the lead here, I’ve been out all morning but yes, I would support.
I seem to remember back in Feb to April that RNSs were pretty punchy and frequent.. What’s seems small and perhaps insignificant to the company could well be a huge driver for potential investors and market perception.
I’m not suggesting they need to get all ‘salesy’ with announcements but it really is the best opportunity to promote and sell to the market.
I’d like to see more positive ‘cliff hangers’ like we had in the early days. Positive spins. Positive outlooks..
Many will recall that GM has never had patience for shorts and has caught them out a few times, I will hold my hands up and say he’s played an absolute blinder if he releases something Monday/ Tuesday that catapults the SP again. If not then we need to see more of that. Get the market excited.
I also get the other side of the coin that they are there to do a job (a bloody great one I may add) and not hold the hands of shareholders. This being said there can be a middle ground, without the need to compromise business.
I would be interested to know if the PR channel has changed in the last 12 months.
