I don't know. I am chronically useless with technology. I don't know how you put the coordinates into the Sentinel browser - I can find out where I am looking after I'm there, but not the other way around.
I find the tenements by looking at the maps, diagrams and satellite images. Luckily the dunes are pretty distinctive!
Q
Yes.
There is a second pad S of that by the dune line. There looks to be a machine on it in the most recent update.
I thought something was happening but your post made me look more closely. Thanks!
Q
I've put screenshots - at which I am not adept! - on Twitter.
Q
I have had a look at this and there are at least two drill pads under way appearing since the 20th of April. Tje easiest way to see them is if you follow the track E from the camp. The first one is obvious about halfway between the dune lines where the track turns to point to the SE. The second is S of that one very close to the dune line - follow the track the runs S to find it.
Q
Wing Attack Plan R!
The paperclip: "It looks like you're building a mine. Do you need help with that?"
New road around the feature to the N that isn't on the mine plan. Perhaps they're sending a message.
What begins with P?
The recent Regis / Tropicana deal valued Tropicana at $852 per reserve oz. That would mean about £0.044 per reserve oz for us adjusted for our 30% and GBP and whatnot. With those figures the market seems to think we've got 5m oz.
Q
I made a company up.
If you register on Newcrest's website you get all the reports and links to presentations emailed to you as soon as they are released.
Q
Are we expecting the next results on the evening of Wednesday the 9th of June? I think that's halfway between Newcrest's quarterlies.
Q
PFS second half of 2021?
Yes please.
Wait.
Newcrest are still burning through the decline construction at Havieron.
GH has taken his pay. Wouldn't you? I would.
There's a whole load of news coming.
There's a PFS for Havieron coming in September, according to Sandeep.
Sandeep has said he's very confident Havieron will be mined.
All we have to do is wait. Kill time by looking at the satellite and the paperwork - especially look at the drawing of the proportion of the deposit that counts towards our 4.2m oz Au equivalent.
Alternatively, see if there's any info available on infrastructure and machinery orders. The lead time on underground and surface mine vehicles means they're being ordered now, for example.
That'd be interesting and useful. Not my field, sadly.
Otherwise, just wait.
Q
My feelings exactly, Matt.
SD's communication needs to improve a lot.
Q
If Sandeep says they're "very confident" it's going to be a mine I think it's going to be a mine!
Q
I don't know if it's buried amongst the sea of green (the snotgreen sea, the scrotumtightening sea), but the satellite picture today was cloudy.
Never mind! Under the clouds Newcrest will still be beavering away on our gold mine. PFS soon and only a few weeks until 16/16 excellent results.
Stay classy.
Q
It's good news: those options are part of SD's pay so he'll be expecting the share price to be well above 25p when he gets to use them.
Q
I don't blame GH for selling - it's his pay after all - but I do blame SD for not buying. It's the one thing that's bothering me.
I have had one of my occasional looks at my notes on why I invested in order to see whether I still think GGP is a good idea.
We still have Havieron, which continues to grow and is open in many directions.
We have 15/15 good sets of drilling results there.
Newcrest are our expert partner and are going hell for leather to build the decline.
Sandeep has said he's very confident Havieron will be mined.
Sandeep has said that the PFS will come in September: there're only four months between now and September.
The next exploration results are going to be from a very busy drilling period.
An updated MRE for Havieron could arrive at any time, but will definitely form part of the PFS; the most inexpert among us can look at the drawing showing which part of the deposit the current MRE of 4.2m oz Au eq includes and see that the actual full MRE is going to be at least thrice that.
Telfer is dead without Havieron.
The market seems to value the company pretty securely at about 4.5p per reserve oz.
We can see the work going on in the satellite images and in the paperwork via Minedex.
Artemis seem to be about to continue exploration for us just N of Havieron.
The Juri JV is under way.
We have other promising prospects and the company seems to be looking for more.
The company seems to be well run.
We're in safe and mining-friendly Oz.
Gold seems likely to rise in value.
Copper also looks likely to rise in value.
The risks are minimal: SD is yet to prove himself (jury still out); there may be problems with the decline (doubtful).
Sentiment seems to have wilted a bit, but I think as we approach September it will return. Havieron is going to be a big profitable mine and GGP will have 25% of it.
All is well.
Q
It would have been nice to have had more in that report but the fact remains that Havieron is open in several directions and Newcrest are going at warp speed to mine it. There'll be an upgraded resource soon and a PFS in September. All is well.
