I think the reclassification might purely be the GDX. What is surprising though is just how many companies who are in the GDXJ are also in the GDX

What's happening is they are changing the underlying Index of the fund from NYSE Arca Gold Miners Index to the MarketVector Global Gold Miners Index

So quite a bit of buying and selling to do to line it up. You can google the constituents of the new Index

Predicted to come into the main Index are

PEOLES.MX, AMMN.JK, LUG.TO (Lundin Gold), FRES.L, ARTG.V, BRMS.JK, SA.N

The only London listed one is Fresnillo PLC, and $234m of stock will have to be bought to get their weighting on the Index. May be worth a punt

September 19th they are having a revamp, busy reading it on the VanEck website. Previously 25% of revenue or ore deposits had to be gold/silver now they're ramping that to 50% and the mcap has to be $150m at the end of the month prior to rebalance.

You'd have to be incredibly naïve and gormless to think that sensitive RNS announcements are not delayed or used strategically. Those who followed this stock in the early days would remember well the three consecutive 10% or so rises in the days before a good result. They were like clockwork and certainly no coincidence. Rules are there to be broke as they say.

Take the example of assays. Over the course of several weeks if not more, there are people party to exactly what those results are long before they're announced. Do you think the CEO just sits there for weeks waiting for them to land on his desk then hurriedly types up an RNS to release to market?
