Just had a look at their terms and conditions and it suggests they pay out on both results. Will have to go and check out. Also just googled stewards enquiry amended result and it says they pay out first past the post. Very confused!

Can any of you gambling chaps answer a question please. I put a bet on a horse at limerick today and it won. There was a stewards enquiry and it was demoted to second place. Bet was put on in a Ladbrokes shop. Didn't bother staying and nearly threw away the slip. But am I right in thinking that Ladbrokes will pay out as a first past the post? If so I will make the effort to travel back to said shop.

Reports suggest the government will limit payouts on the fobts to £100. This could hammer the offcourse betting industry in my opinion. They will have to do some work for a change and run proper books as opposed to fantasy odds.

What do you disagree with, the fact that they are immoral on many fronts, or that the government is likely to act on them? I was in discussion with the department for culture, media and sport some months back and they were really fobbing the situation off, but they now appear to realise the extent of public (not shareholder) support against the said machines. In my opinion, there is a place for £100 a spin roulette machines, but it's not through the backdoor on the high street.

The crack cocaine of gambling. In my, and alot of other peoples opinion, they are chiefly responsible for many of the current ill's in society. The government and the bookmaking industry thought they could quietly brush this under the carpet, but fortunately it appears that the most senior departments of government are finally having to deal with it. It's frankly laughable for the big firms to say banning or massively reducing stake levels will just drive the problem underground. As long as athena keeps pumping it out this is basically a cash cow. Personally I would be surprised if we are still here before the end of the next quarter. I think a 10p cash offer gives the bidder a very good deal but more than likely we will end up on the dinner plate of a bigger fish and have some of their shares.

That particular broker changed to 11p a little while ago. Still a stonking buy at this price with a t/o almost nailed on.

Have you a link to that broker rating of 17.9p? Have they just increased from 11p to the 17.9p they gave a year or so ago?
