Hussaetbr yes! and it's because of GPs not seeing patients, the TV news is telling people not to ring 999 only in emergencies, so they become even more poorly which would of been prevented if GPs would see their patients, and now they have no choice but to ring for an ambulance. Its shocking and its so sad. :-(

Sammy18, the GPs have actually been told to start and open their doors for face to face appointments by the government, the GPs are refusing, that's why they are saying they will go on strike if they are forced to do it, I would call there bluff, as whats the point now when you can't see anyone? It's like they are on strike already. It's not the governments fault at all I'm afraid.

DoctorJ, well thank you for seeing your patients and doing a good job like my sister who works as a specialist doctor in hospital Xxx if the other GPs are that scared why don't they wear the full PE. Absolutely disgraceful, I feel sorry for the older generation. As on the news they are telling everyone not to ring for an ambulance unless in an emergency, but can't see a GP, so instead they don't want to bother anyone and become so very ill, this could or would of been prevented if the could see a GP early.

Mraveragetrader I was talking to a paramedic today, she says the hospitals are not over run by Covid patients, they are busy because GPS will not see any patients! So they are all ringing for an ambulance, half of the people who are in hospital shouldn't be in there she said.

Well it's true about GPs not seeing anyone, my poor mother is running around in circles as her husband has the signs of dementia, and all they are doing is sending the daughter (me) links for carers support!

The paramedic says the GPs will go on strike if they are forced to see people face to face. It's disgraceful how much they are being paid and refuse to see anyone.
