The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
My money's on this also happening in dry dock...
https://splash247.com/wartsila-launches-world-first-radical-derating-solution-for-two-stroke-engines/
Why? .. There was a long delay for Bio/MSAR to be tested at Wartsilla's test plant on the very same engine. Probably while the manufacturer was 'doing some mods'. Wartsilla will have had to modify this very test engine to put their derating solution to market. Next would be sea trials and the timelines fit exactly for Leandra to be the trial vessel. Unfortunately, Wartsilla would clearly want to do sea trials on conventional fuels first so they can offer the derate to all users of the Rtflex.
Still, gives QED many more months to sort a fuel supply!
Haggis fact quote: "Share price will be a lot higher before any fund raising."
Not ramping eh but another awe enspiring fact as a result of free hard research for other shareholders? !
With thanks to JPM, a fellow Mod on the forum who contacted Jason this morning following the SnB article.. he has asked me to post on here as he no longer uses this site...
Quote:
"I wrote to Jason this morning regarding the Soren Toft article in Ship and Bunker. He responded swiftly and has asked his replies be shared to avoid having to repeat to others.
I made the point that Toft's message was not great for us and that he was stating biofuels should go to aviation and not marine. He responded as follows…
“I can appreciate how this could be interpreted, but I’m inclined to agree with him at a high level.
A lot of the biofuels being tested for the marine sector are “too nice” and there’s a competition for molecules today/tomorrow, and in the future electrons from renewable energy to make green e-fuels.
That’s not what Quadrise is about, and we’ve be very clear about offering an alternative solution and commercialising it. That’s our focus, and MSC have been helping us achieve this in a number of fields.”...
...He further clarified our position as follows….
..“The term biofuels can cover a wide range of components both oil and water soluble, and not all have a pathway to SAF.
Waste-based glycerine is not being considered in that light (nor biomass derived C5/C6 sugars in the future), and that’s our main interest with bioMSAR for MSC.”
This clarification is important in the context of Tofts comments. MSC don’t regard our biofuel as they do the existing options. "
Its probable the fuel supplier has said "face reality, where's all this biofuel going to come from?"
Now, how about that tried and tested original MSAR, a fast(er) route to commercialisation and reduced harmful emissions if ever I saw one!
HF14, QED's timelines are about as reliable as Haggis's filter! :D
Salinger re the Pied Piper of Haggis:
"British Bulls? Why do you care if you’re long term and never sell any shares? What possible interest can you have in their advice?"
Hmm, 584 posts across LSE in the last 30 days!.. And all just for the benefit of other shareholders!!.. Yeah right! Thats some work rate for someone with multiple logins who just sits holding.
He hides behind the filter to avoid answering any tricky questions.
I know a little about the popular Scottish dish but I didn't realise that so much tripe was included in the Haggis recipe!
Didnt BrianMcSavilleHaggis say the licences were all approved back in November?.. Well they havent!
More tripe from the arch rampist!
It's the same old mantra I'm afraid Wonga.
This from the update March 2021...
"Work on this industrial-scale trial is progressing, with the new pumping and heating unit fabricated and ready for shipment. The required ~60mt of MSAR® fuel is to be manufactured by a third party and sent directly to site. The trial is scheduled to be completed as early as possible in H1 2021 along with the phase 2 feasibility study. QFI will be paid £100,000 for the industrial trial and phase 2 study under existing agreements with the client.
· Following the successful conclusion of the industrial trial, the plan is to complete the commercial trial at Site A, which is the major fuel oil consumer, by early/mid H2 2021. Assuming the successful conclusion of these trials, the intention would then be to conclude a commercial supply agreement covering one or more of the client's sites in Morocco before calendar year (2021!!!) end."
I fear nothing will change until there is a serious threat to the BOD's generous salaries continuing without evidence of succesful commercial results!
"but further funds will be required to see each key project to commercialisation"
Trading working on HL app fine ..at least for a dummy trade.
Toby, probably just as likely that MSC bought it to rip the motor out and fit it in Soren Skou's Mini coupled to a centre branch manifold and an RC40 straight through exhaust, he's got minifin brake drums and red corbeau seats too .
..Some bloke in a pub told me and I'm sticking to it
Or in Haggis's case after a ramp...
"Quick Everybody, Dump!"
QED ..'quod erat demonstrandum' .."Which was to be demonstrated"
We do a lot of trials!
A bit of history..

After the incident, the SI was unloaded of all containers to presumably bring the damage above the waterline. She then sailed some 800 miles under her own power to the Betsiktas shipyard in Turkey for repair. At the same time, it was decided to carry out engine wear tests to issue part LONO on MSAR. Maersk in the interim decided they didn't want the "chemical plant of a Scrubber" onboard their ships at that moment in time. Following repair, the SI was put on a different route which couldn't take in San Roque for MSAR fuelling at CEPSA.
The MSAR trial, was ended prematurely. A part LONO was issued.
Facts straight AKHM. This was NEVER an Excuse by QFI or Maersk, it came in a note to agents expecting their deliveries of containers, by a third party consigning agent. The ship actually hit a submerged wreck (which was unmarked by a buoy!!) ripping a large tear in the outer hull.
But, but, I'm sure HaggisMcSavilleBrian TOLD us in November unequivocaly that the Licences had been approved???
Funny isn't it Aussie, I thought the forum was supposed to be the place where open views aren't tolerated?!!
Just isn't the case of course, unless you, in the past, disagreed with Brian (Saville) but he long deserted it when it had served his purpose!
No, we just don't tolerate Shorters / Rampers / Windup or soapbox merchants who can't make their point in less than 5 posts!
How things have changed!
Have a great weekend, you wouldn't want to be out of it!
RNS 21 January 2021 ..Over 2 years ago BTW ...
Initial activities under the (MSC) JDA will include project initiation, definition, high-level scoping and feasibility activities ("Initial Activities") of the overall Trial. The Initial Activities are to be completed within 3 months.
Contingent on the outcome of the Initial Activities the parties will progress and define the project roadmap during Q2'21 in preparation for the execution of one or more Trials commencing in H2'21 on representative commercial vessels in MSC's global fleet ("Phase 1"). Upon completion and success of Phase 1, and subject to further agreement between the parties, the JDA envisages subsequent commercial roll-out across the MSC global fleet ("Phase 2").
Is it H2 2021 yet??
Still waiting?
PFFFFT!
