Lenoman, I can’t believe it sometimes. I have a London lawyer girlfriend, 10 years younger, into a retired (at her recommendation) postman. She’d been out with lawyers in the past but said they’re all to55ers! I don’t know what she’s doing with me.

My girlfriend has just sold her London flat and now has a reasonable deposit to buy a nice house up here (East Yorkshire). I, would therefore like a nice dividend so I can contribute to said house. Otherwise I’m going to have to continue being a kept man.

As we all try to decipher RNSs with a fine toothcomb here’s my take. The last RNS refers to “the” dividend. If there was no dividend forthcoming surely it would have said “a” dividend? This occurred to me in my pit earlier.

I don’t know why people keep going on about holidays delaying things. If there’s a deal to be completed lawyers don’t even go home early, never mind go on holiday! I know, as my girlfriend is a mere PSL and many a time she’s had to work all hours for the occasional important project.

Ah, Mr.Wolfe, I escaped to East Yorkshire 3 years ago. I did live in M40 and I don’t think there were any others 911s around at the time.

Yes Mr.Wolfe, I know it’s hard to believe (and you couldn’t make it up) but I was a Manchester postie who at one time (2012) bought a brand new 991 Cab. And not on finance either!

Mark@1973; alas no. My guards red Cayman GTS went 2 years ago due to lack of use and bad depreciation (even though if I’d have kept it it would be worth more than I sold it for). But I do miss a 911.

Hi Monkey70, I’ve had 5 Porsches, (2 Boxsters, a 991 Cab, a diesel Macan and a 718 Cayman GTS) all new but I know about new car problems so I’ll make do with a nearly new one (992 Cab) and order a new one at the same time. That’s providing we get £2 a share dividend!

Has anyone tried to work out how much is needed for EUA2? If so, can we estimate what the 80% retained would be? OR, is this a bonkers question?

You’ll have to sell then buy back after the ex-dividend date therefore only paying CGT. I have the same problem.

Well done Les on your forthcoming retirement. You’ve worked hard enough. I fortunately went at 57 at the behest of my lawyer girlfriend who suggested I retire and go to live with her. I did as I was told and left work and Manchester early December 2018. Enjoy.
