Surprised no update on the Mankayan Project unless I have missed something?

Last RNS on the subject confirms that the Mines and Geosciences Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources of the Philippines government ("MGB") review of Crescent Mining Development Corporation's renewal application for a second 25 year term in relation to Mineral Production Sharing Agreement No. 057-96-CAR (the "MPSA") is ongoing. The initial 25 year term of the MPSA expired on 11 November 2021 and in accordance with Executive Order No. 292 of the Administrative Code of 1987 shall not expire until the renewal application has been finally determined. The Company will provide a further update(s) as and when appropriate.

Been trying to work out the potential value unlock here, it should be significant if all the ducks line up.

For anyone new to GCAT I would recommend reading the recent research note from Align published this month (link in recent RNS) as a good starting point

It's good to see Align coverage here now and i won't be surprised to see this initial target increasing as we progress through the year with all the expansion, acquisitions and revenue increases planned for 2022. They give a nod to that fact when describing the company as a 'mid-tier' in the making

Sadly, it does look like the wider market is in for a uncertain period ahead at best and at worse it could well be some kind of reset.

That's precisely why I'm loading up on gold and Silver.

I've heard Rick discuss things like this and what would be the drivers to create that situation.

One thing he did say is that folk who talk about gold going to $10,000-$20,000 whilst great for gold bugs the wider economic events leading to this scenario would probably be a disaster for the wider financial system.

Things are finely balanced and we don't need $1000 silver or $15,000 gold as if that does happen whilst all holders here would be laughing, the wider financial system will have probably collapsed or suffered a major re set.

Let's hope things don't turn out to be that extreme, but I do see Gold and Silver going on a healthy run up this year.

This is far from a binary bet on Red Setter as we have other licences with proven grades.

It's a 30,000 metre program spaced across some 200 drill holes, this doesn't happen overnight.

When RP tweeted that they are working to get results out, they must therefore have sent samples from the first few holes fo the lab and are progressing with further drill holes.

I recall some complaints that the company had provided no details about how many holes they are drilling on this first phase and what timeframes they are working too?

Personally I don't see what they would have had to gain from this, whilst it might have been nice to get some more details, had any timeliness slipped due to factors outside of the company's controls ( remember the rig crew are contractors and the labs have been busy) there would no doubt be folk using any discussed time frames as a stick to beat the company with.

This happened previously when we announced we would be drilling back in 2021 only to hit with bureaucracy in finalising the completion of the permits which held matters up, combined with the lack of availability of rig crews who have their diaries booked out months in advance.

I'm budgeting for sometime in March for the first round of Assays and if they come sooner than this all the better, UFO who I think are using the same labs have been waiting months to get lab data back. So don't expect the labs in Australia to gives us any priority as they are log jammed

Whilst African based explorers are seeing results turned around rapidly, this just isn't the case in Australia right now, hopefully things will improve I'm Australia as we move through the year, but at present for various reasons, the Australian assay labs are stretched. So just relax.

This ran up to 1.6p (intra day) on a sharp move up from 0.75p over the course of just 3 days the last time silver went past $27 and this was without the recent world class grades.

I would love it if they prove up the wider Halo, that really would be a game changer.

There is a pivot point where if Silver moves toward or passes $30 the mining economics here become truely incredible given the g/t.

From the research I have done at the point we originally acquired kilimapasa prior to the listing it had been producing just 600oz Per annum under the previous owners.

Caracal has moved this on light years.

We have already more than 20 x times the production the previous owners were doing with their 10 staff and no underground operations.

The SP here doesn't yet reflect this accurately.

From what was a simple tailings operation previous Caracal has recruited hundreds of mining staff. Reopened the underground mining operations. Massively upgraded all the plant and mill processing with further upgrades to come which will increase output further.

Started exploration of the wider district with our own fully owned drill rigs.

Made further acquisitions to expand double the gold resource from the point of the original listing at 1p.

That makes this an even more stronger buy at the present SP than when GCAT originally listed

The only reason we aren't well above 2-3p+ imo is down to the previous broker relationship who are well known for not being natural holder's and quick flip merchants.

I'm glad Caracal have kicked them firmly into touch.

Time to start looking forward now to all the really good stuff coming in 2022

Had my finger hovering over a buy quote around 1.3 a few weeks ago, but didn't commit as I knew (everybody knew) this placing was coming.

Also, at the 1.3p level I was concerned that as 20% max raise wouldn't produce sufficient funding to last the whole year through.

SP then spiked up to 2p and placing lands allowing them to get a bit more cash out the door (cynical, please excuse) which should be more than enough cash as the last placing has seemed to have been spent very frugally.

If this now offers an opportunity near to 1.5 / 1.6p I'll take some.

It would have taken some balls to buy at 1.3p with the funding not yet sorted, but I'm happy to pay up to get in with this now resolved.

One thing I'd really like to see is a scoping study or move toward this later this year.

If the next lot of Assay results are anywhere in line with the last batch, surely this will start to attract a greater degree of international exposure.

I'm still fully expecting Silver to go on a major rally at some stage this year and having back to back globally significant world class grades should do the trick.

Might be time to take a look at KEFI alongside some of the other gold plays out there.

Had it on my watch list for a while and took an initial position today to dip my toe. Seems little downside from present entry and genuine quantifiable 10 x bagger once 300m term debt is released fo fund mine operations and recruitment of 1000 mine workers.
