Vast Resources plc, the AIM-listed mining company, announces that it has raised £1,819,350 gross through a placing (the ‘Placing’) of 933,000,000 ordinary shares of 0.1p in the Company (‘Ordinary Shares’) at a price of 0.195p per Ordinary Share (the ‘Placing’). The Placing was undertaken by the Company’s joint broker, Axis Capital Markets Ltd (‘Axis’)

At 22:15 hrs EAT (20:15 hrs BST) on Wednesday 4th October, the Predator 220 drilling rig suffered a component failure within the main rig carrier. In order to undertake the necessary repairs, mechanical parts will need to be brought in from outside of Tanzania and, as a result, will require us to temporarily suspend operations whilst these repairs are carried out.

Prior to this event, drilling operations were on schedule with no issues with the hole, our well control equipment is fully installed and pressure tested, and the rig was performing well, with the target depth expected to have been reached over the coming weekend. Â We had just commenced drilling the 8.5" hole section at the top of the Lake Bed Formation, after successfully running and cementing the 13 3/8" casing.

The Company expects it to take in the region of two weeks to source the required parts and repair the drilling rig and is confident that we will then be able to successfully recommence drilling in accordance with the original programme. Further updates will be made in due course.

Worth nailing down what the fair 'in-situe' value is for say 2.0 bcf ahead of any results landing to calculate the upside potential.

Well if the Karoo target alone comes in with the 'mean' Prospective Total Helium Resources of 1.69 BSCF.

That'll massively increase the confidence of further drill success across the other targets outlined on the CPR and with a back to back drill situation going on with potential drip feed of well analysis id expect things to heat up.

Probably worth revisiting the CPR to see the total potential size of the prise.

Id expect even Lorna would be ramping away if they get a hit during this drill as then it opens up for offtake news / JV / Buyout rumours.. the whole lot..

There is a mandatory take over law that could well be triggered if one single party (or a group acting in a concert party) moves ro a shareholding of 30% or more.

Trigger the mandatory Takeover rule.

Offer 45p-50p per share in consideration for the full remaining shares.

It would go ro a vote.

They only need the support of the other two and they could all work together to achieve it and there would be nothing the PI's could do.

Today reminded me a little of when polymetal lost 90% of it share price value in a flash and the price was up and down like a roller coaster on huge volumes for 3 or 4 sessions before eventually finding a level.
