Great Southern Copper plc (LSE: GSCU), the company focused on copper-gold and lithium exploration in Chile, is pleased to announce that it has consolidated its concession area in the Salar de Atacama district of Chile, which hosts the world's largest reserves of lithium.

Nobody on here managed to illicit a response from the company as to what the £ value of the net placing proceeds were?

How much cash do you guys think the company has actually received here after fees?

The BoD clearly weren't excited enough at tbe prospect of any nesr term success to want participate at 1.5p.

Or maybe they are worried about further imminent dillution from the new shares and bondholders converting some more if the price manages to hold above 1p?

Interesting how this was gapped up on that RNS

Seen a few 'innovative funding RNS' land recently that have had similar affects.

Was looking at this the other day as one of the cheaper Hydrogen Co's out there.

It's now nearly twice the m/cap of PHE off the back of just a few trades.

Crazy when you look at how many hundreds of millions have been wiped off the m/cap at PHE.

And the hydrogen sector in general

Been one of the most shorted sectors for the past two years with some of the former billion pound plus market cap players being crushed.

Think that sector got way to far ahead of itself in 2021.

Keep monitoring it though to see if there are signs of the tide changing.

Or whether it will keep seeing a succession of dead cat bounces.

Looks like it's nearing end of downtrend.

Waiting on announcement of Rig contract news and possibility of major JV partner.

Market cap looking cheap once again around 13m with circa 4.6m cash.

Given the excitement on the run up to the CPR I could imagine this would get busy again if they secure a rig for the appraisal well.

Anyone in over there or watching from sidelines?

Well done to those of you who grabbed a few on market open as the price was pulled down.

Was watching both this and UPL get dragged down on the open only to immediately bounce.

Worth an email to the company/PR to clarify EXACTLY what the net cash proceeds of this placing are?

Those that said the company had ran out of funds were correct all along.

No doubt some massive fees to be deducted from this placing as they really don't seem keen to advise what this has cost them?

Good news is that it hopefully provides the company with a few more months cash runway although they seem keen to spend what's left of the proceeds immediately

If it drifts back to 0.75p (again) support has been fairly solid on the chart around that level.

Price drifted down -50% after the last placing.

That area has historically served buyers well with a triple bottom on the chart followed each time by a quick spike to cash in on, then followed by the slow drift back down each time

Had you bought in on those lows and sold a couple of days later then recycled back in on the lows each time you would be well up

No need for 10,000's of pointless argumentative posts or head in sand speculation

Don't know much about their ETF and he didn't really say much about it either.

Everything else he mentioned I fully agree with.

Something systemic will likely break forcing the central banks to pivot but it doesn't feel like we are quite there just yet.

Also agree about the S&P 500.

He didn't quite say it but everytime the S&P500 has hit a P/E of 27 it's crashed back from those unrealistic valuation multiples.

Those big tech firms have been holding it up and some of those are trading on forecast earnings of 100+ crazy stuff.

I've even seen some of the analysts who claim that they are justified based on 4-5 year expected growth projections sound a little unconvinced.

Guess that's why the UK small cap space gets labelled as the 'Wild West'

Best to remain alert to these types of things.

Seen a few making references to potential scams playing out across the small cap space via misleading statements and or falsely linking names of individuals with companies.

Can only think that the only reason that the FCA and AIM regulation isn't suspending the shares of some of these is that they have been handing the associated boiler room rampers enough rope that they eventually hang themselves.

The price action you refer to should have highlighted that Mr Market didn't believe the offer to be genuine as normally when a credible offer is announced to market (see FireAngel RNS on Friday (FA.) The market price moves to or just below the offer price and tends to stay there.

The fact the SP didn't do that and despite all the ramping the price fell back was just another red flag imo.

Everyone is calling it a scam.

A witch hunt is now in full flow to nail down the all bad actors involved.

The company put the name of both a company and an individual in a regulatory statement to the market.

They have subsequently had to 'fess up' that they put that statement out to market without any verification conversations taking place with the named parties until the individual named actually contacted them after being mentioned to advise them he was nothing to do with this and there was no offer.

The BoD are toast now imo.

How can any announcements they make ever be believed again?

They will never be able to raise capital in the markets after this.

The company's future is now in real jepody imo.

The SP will likely be destroyed!

The company has now formally confirmed that as I suspected the offer indeed does lack any credibility in a late evening RNS at 'no one watching o'Clock'

Expect the SP to tank on Monday.
