System - It's your money. You buy when ever you feel it's right for you. But as I said, at the moment it's trading sideways. My call is, with the next move in the SP, it will be upwards from the current price and not downwards IMHO. Good luck with your trade. Atb Popeye.
System - It's not going to happen. You're not going to buy stock at 11.25p, when MM's are taking in stock at 11.375p. In the scheme of things does 0.25p make that much difference to you??? Personally I think we're at the bottom. We're definitely trading sideways at the moment. Just the slightest bit of good news and when volume kicks in, you won't be buying at 11.5p anymore. For what it's worth I've bought a fair amount of stock around 13p, 12.5p, 12p, 11.5p and a managed to get a few below 11.5p. Most of the large trades over the past week have been mine. I have an average of 12p. Good luck with whatever you decide. Atb Popeye.
System - You can buy at anytime you want, but if you're setting a limit order lower than the current ask price, then you won't be buying. Although the Ask is at 11.5p the MM'S are more than happy to take 155,000 shares online and pay 11.3325p and take 455,000 shares at 11.05p again online. This is very unusual with this stock to be able to get an online quote for that sort of volume in an illiquid market. Atb Popeye.
Stares - If GDR have sold 27,920 AIHL tests @ £60 each to generate £1,675,000 of income. Then this is extremely significant. To generate that much income in a 6 month period is quite impressive for a device that is relatively new. Would the 27,920 tests encompass all the trials as well, that were carried out, including Greece? Companies wouldn't normally rns news about sales of kits to devices that are operational out in the field. We will have to wait until the final results are released. Well done for sharing. Atb Popeye.
Forsythew - I remember you posting in 2021, and you were predicting £5 and was extremely positive. Now you're predicting 5p and extremely negative!!! It's amazing how you're opinion has changed. You must have lost an awful lot of money??? Perhaps it would be a good idea to try and make a positive out of it. Perhaps set a stop loss??? I fully understand your position. We all make mistakes from time to time. The trick is to have more winners than losers and ALWAYS set stop losses. You can always re-enter at a lower price. Atb Popeye.
nissangtr786 - By lowering your expectations you're being a lot more realistic. I think your new target of 42p, as opposed to 123p, is very doable and highly possible. With the right rns, that target could be achieved quite easily. Good luck. Atb Popeye.
Rog - I remember Axis Shield, as I was a shareholder. I did extremely well out of that company. The CEO of Axis Shield was Dr Ian Gilham, our very own Chairman at GDR. Virtually every company that Dr Ian Gilham has been involved with, has been subject to a takeover. Rog I know you constantly berate David Budd, and I certainly don't disagree with some of your points. But I think you will find that the Chairman of our company, Dr Ian Gilham is pulling the strings of David Budd. Dr Ian Gilham is extremely well connected and well respected. Finally Rog, was there any need to filter system and nissan? Both of them are completely harmless, albeit completely naive. Good luck to you. Atb Popeye.
Rog - This is the extract taken from the final results 2021 under the going concern statement. Scenario 2 - where the business experiences delays bringing the two new products to market and has a much lower level of commercial uptake with no sales in the forecasts. Before any mitigating actions the sensitised cashflows in scenario 2 show that without any revenue and continuing to spend on the development projects in its plan, cash runs out in approximately 12 months from this report date. However this is an unrealistic position, because without any revenues the Group would not invest material amounts on incremental development. The incremental development spend in the forecasts includes amounts for a second generation CoV-POC product, to expand the sales team and for FDA clearance before entry into the US market - these investments would not be made without some level of certainty around sales. More realistically the Group would begin to delay and reduce development spend if no revenue was generated on its AIHL and CoV-POC products. If there was no pipeline and no sales revenue the Group would begin to cease development spend in the calendar year 2022 and the cash runway would extend beyond the assessment period. In addition to the incremental development spend, the Group has the additional option to reduce discretionary overheads - these cost reductions have not been modelled, but in conjunction with the reduction in the incremental development spend would see the cash window extend even further beyond the assessment period.
I also share the same view as baserite. I think you will find that the cash burn has been reduced significantly. AIHL has effectively been put to bed, as has the POC Covid device. There's very little if any capex on those two assays now. Assuming cash burn of £300k per month from end of March 2022, that would put the present cash position, as at end of September at roughly 4.2M. On that basis, even with a reduced R&D tax credit next year and modest sales from the past six month. GDR has a comfortable cash pathway until Sept/October. Like baserite, I also think that we're in a far better financial position, than some would have you believe. At the end of the day it's always important to do your own research. Good luck. Atb Popeye.
Systemzero - The buying will continue tomorrow. Expect to see another 20% added by close of play tomorrow. The SP will move quickly higher from the opening bell tomorrow AM. Plenty of buying first thing. I've got a feeling System, you're really going to enjoy watching the early trading tomorrow morning. Good luck. Atb Popeye.
Trek - Personally I think you sold far too quickly and far too soon. To sell over 50% of your holding is quite a significant knee jerk reaction. With regards to going through 550p, that will happen very soon IMHO. I think we need to give it a little more than a few days to push higher. I fully expect it to be through 550p before the end of the month. Let's see how it plays out. Hopefully you're holding in Phoenix Group is very small, so the 10% hit you've taken is insignificant. Good luck. Atb Popeye.
The selling over the past few days has been me. My original intention was to hold, but with stocks like Phoenix Group hitting 508p and with a 10% dividend yield, it was just too tempting and there's a lot more upside for growth in the SP from their current lows. I held 300,000 shares at an average of 12.58p. I managed to get a fair amount away at 11.5p and the balance of my holding at 11p. I've taken a hit of over £3k, but will comfortably recoup that money on my investment switch. Please don't be too harsh on me for dumping my holding, but I have to do what's best for me and my family. I wish all the LTH'S the best of luck and I do hope GDR comes good for you all. Good luck. Atb Popeye.
Hi Trek,
I hope you're well. I am also a holder of Phoenix. I added significantly at 527p and couldn't believe when it kept falling!!! I doubled down at 510p. With the BOE intervention, gilts are now in a better position than they were prior to the Chancellor's mini budget. Also with gas prices currently tumbling the UK borrowing will come in significantly less than was forecast. I'm happy to collect the dividend on Phoenix and IMHO see significant upside to an increase in the SP. These are uncertain times, but I feel quite confident with my holdings in Phoenix. I've purely bought for income and my holding will be for the longterm. Good luck. Atb Popeye.
Roger - I've just downloaded and had a look at the proxy document for last years AGM. It's a fairly standard format that applies in most AGM's. I think this is the bit you're going to like? There's a tick box selection to re-appoint directors. Resolution 5 :- To re-appoint David Budd as a director of the Company. As a shareholder you can vote for, against or withheld. I think it's time to get the fruit & nut out!!! Atb Popeye.
