Niss - It will never hit 30p again in fact it will never make double digits pence wise again. The reality is it will never hit 10p again. I know it's hard for you to accept but you need to take a reality pill!!! It's over for Genedrive. Crooty summed it up yesterday. Institutional investors weren't interested a year ago and they're not interested now. Genedrive has been given too many chances. You are definitely not smarter than the city boy's and they've already turned their backs on Genedrive. Sometimes the truth hurts, but the sooner you come to accept it the better you will feel.
Another new all time record low set today at 3.09p. It is barely holding onto the 3's at the moment. The 4.5 million shares they've just gifted RF don't help either. I really can't see how they're going raise cash via a placing. Who is going to subscribe to a placing. I think Crooty summed it up very well yesterday.
Roger - I don't think the catastrophic mess has been orchestrated deliberately and I don't believe that there are any conspiracy theories in play. This is plain old fashioned mismanagement, incompetence, ignorance and stupidity on a grand scale. There is no master plan in play here at all. The management have been extremely lazy. They've squandered shareholders money frivolously and in doing so, they've decimated the share price. The writing was on the wall a long time ago. When running a business that is losing cash hand over fist there are three simple options available to a CEO. Option 1) Increase turnover. Option 2) Reduce costs. 3) Enact option 1 & 2. David Budd was never CEO material. With everything crashing around him he then went and hired a sales force, purely to massage his ego and give himself an air of importance. Costs should have been reduced when it was plainly obvious that the covid test was a complete failure. GDR wouldn't be in the position it is today had it kept a tight control on expenditure. If they could have carried out a successful raise last March then they would have done, instead they entered into a death spiral financing agreement. Which was the only option available to them. Things have changed rapidly in the last 12 months and it's extremely difficult to raise money in the current financial environment. A raise at this stage would not be available to GDR. Trust me if they could they would. They have little care or respect for shareholders and they're now running out of time. Good luck. Atb Popeye.
If it's £1,100,000 including the tax credit and Wallbrook state that the tax credit is not due until the end of the month, then that puts their cash position at £300,000??? That's three weeks of cash burn!!! That's without taking into account any liabilities, which need to be factored in for insolvency.
Garonne - I totally agree. I also think that the next RNS will be to announce that the company has filed for administration. Unbelievably there are 12 people on the payroll at GDR in the administration department!!! They play no roll in R&D whatsoever. How on earth does the company warrant 12 bodies in the administration department!!! What on earth do they do all day???
Hi Stephen11. I hope you're well. I wouldn't buy back into GDR now at any price. I can't ever see it going back to 10p let alone the 30's. The £400k a month spend should have been reined back eighteen months ago. My biggest gripe is the fact that they sent machines to the UAE. The poor Arabs didn't have a clue what the machine was!!! One arab thought it was a photocopier another thought it was a portable printer and one thought it was a portable freezer for chilling halal chicken!!! There was no bloody instructions!!! How on earth can a company be run in that fashion and expect shareholders/investors to think they're professional. They're complete fools and Budd who was on £25k a month was the biggest idiot of them all. Does Cheeky boy want a pat on the back for for organising translations!!! In Cheeky boy you've got the same meat but with different gravy!!!
A new all time low registered today at 4p. It looks inevitable that GDR is now going to go into the 3's. How on earth are they going to raise funds??? Anyone want to hazard a guess at what the current cash situation is??? The company has just been run into the ground. Budd is to blame for the demise of this company.
Nissangtr786 - Of the three companies you compare GDR with RUA is the stand out company. Like GDR it's share price is depressed but that is the only comparison they share. RUA with a similar £6m market cap to GDR has £5m cash in the bank. It has two highly profitable businesses and currently has a material testing agreement with a major heart valve player, which I suspect is Edwards Life Sciences with a market cap of over $50 billion!!! The problem with GDR is the way they squander shareholders cash. Why does GDR still have a cash burn rate of £400,000 per month??? Why has there never been any attempt to rein this in? It's absolutely killing what was potentially a promising company. The final nail in the coffin for GDR is the death spiral finance they entered into. GDR are precariously close to trading insolvent. The company desperately needs a cash injection and unfortunately I fail to see where that is going to come from whilst the the vultures at Riverfort have control!!!
InvestingGenius - Good luck with your top up. I totally agree with you. There's potentially three pieces of news that will send the SP considerably higher. It's just a case of when that news lands and how high the SP can go. I won't be top slicing any of my holdings until it breaks 35p and I personally think it will go a lot higher than that. We just need to be patient. Good luck to you. Atb Popeye.
4.16p is a new record low. It's an all time low. It's never been this low in It's entire history. Genedrive are now in serious trouble. Any potential clients will be very wary on placing any orders because Genedrive are on the precipice of going bankrupt. They're extremely close to trading at a rate of insolvency. The only thing Genedrive have been good at is raising money!!! And boy do they know how to squander cash!!! They've burnt through tens and tens of millions of pounds with zero return. What a shame. For a company that showed so much promise that has mismanaged into the ground. Genedrive will find it extremely difficult to raise funds in the current climate, that's without taking their track record into account!!!
