ChatGPT doesn’t ‘know’ anything all it can do is look at what is available publicly and guess or make things up so it’s not surprising it’s ambiguous on things like this. It’s not like it can ask people questions or access spy satellites to watch what is happening itself

Yes the pricing of equity at 3p (or worst) is overly punitive. I'm also not a massive fan of the preferred return, it's somewhat disingenuous to with that in the structure to describe that as contributing to a 49% stake - ultimately it should convert to that over time but if there are any significant delays catching up on that 12% IRR may be tough

In reality though, whilst this looks like it may be relatively expensive capital it always is for projects like this and it's likely a much better deal that ATM trying to raise equity directly to take this forward - assuming BW was in the share price at zero which is probably right the company is better for this deal than not doing it

Thanks - yes, my first read was 'certain of the shares' (so I thought he was keeping some) not to 'certain' investors. Notwithstanding my mis-read this is very weird

I stupidly threw some complete punt money into this after the RTO was announced, I was aware it was nothing but a gamble and luckily not much money so won't lose sleep over it but only have myself to blame for now a large percentage loss

Unless I'm completely missing something this is the first time I've ever seen a capital raise with no attempt to explain the use of proceeds - not even a 'general corporate purposes' fudge

This is just extraordinary, the only vague positive (if there can be at such a crazy discount) is a least he's put his hands in his pocket which suggests a belief in some sort of future rather than the well trodden path on aim of raising money off to keep paying salaries when a company is toast

I've been in for a few years and still have confidence it will come good (which may be completely unfounded) but must confess to have been paying less and less attention over time so am not terribly well informed any more. Is there any reason to expect any news in the near future or is it still a longer burn?

TDT - thanks. Agree there is more (hopefully good) stuff coming in the shorter-term. I didn’t mean to come across as negative, I’ve been in a for while and have patiently held as I think this has to come good at some point. Currently 40% down but expect a decent profit in time
