Looks like MMs overall can't give the shares away no matter what they lower it too. That would be strange. Perhaps they are doubly impatient for proper news to boost this one- Like Huge amounts of the resource in the ground and the go ahead for toll processing. Testing someones nerves they are- but who knows the results for sure?. The tide will turn at some stage long term but who is really going to largely top up in the meantime in this fall apart from those with deep pockets who think it will be worth it to get spiked short term for the long term rise. I do, but my pockets are not deep. Don't miss the chance!!

I don't believe Newcrest will try to buy out GGP before it gets to stage 4 and possibly beyond. I believe an absolute trust has been developed between the partners re Havieron and that trust is reflected in the terms of the JV. As far as I can see GGP will not receive any income until Ore is toll processed at Telfer assuming all goes to plan. Without having a great knowledge of Aussie business practices I believe Newcrest are a firm that can be trusted and they do care about their business reputation so they will give GGP a decent bite of the apple/potential longer rewards. Aussieland is hopefully a different investment scenario to the British Aim snake pit. Incidentally what are the Australian interest rates? British rates are absolutely miserly.
There is always the possibility that another Major will try to muscle in, particularly on the Non tenement blocks but I am sure contingencies are in place for that happening. I hope GGP would also play fair with Newcrest.
Newmont with the power/money could make a play for Newcrest but thats too big a prospect for me to comprehend but Newmont may not like being out of the action if Havieron etc turns out to be the world record breaker.
There are still many unknowns in the process and I am not sure of GGPs cost commitments for the later stages approaching possible tolling at Telfer and after and also what happens if Newcrest significantly overspend their commitment in order to fast track the process. Thats for the future but the potential rewards are looking very significant.
Its a long haul that GGP would not have been able to do alone. Investors must thank their lucky stars they are in with a good long term chance of success. I hope.

Different time, different scenario, different Major. Top gold miner in world takes interest for the first time ever in GGP (after its long slightly chequered history), Of course it went over 2p. If EG had produced the types of results we have seen since Newcrests interest in our current projects it would have flown over 5p at least (assuming Newmont stayed the course). Add to that the damage done to GGPs and Aims' reputation and to investors especially those badly spiked who feel "once bitten, twice shy" BUT I am sure there are those who do play on these fears and seek profit from keeping the share price down short term. I will not speculate whether Newcrest or any other majors have an interest in such a move.
I do take the long view that it is only an actual buyout/ takeover that will really accelerate this sp and hopefully more than one major will come in eventally.
I would accept I may be wrong and this may move up on Stellar results but is it too soon for that to happen just yet?

Its always the same- bring price down prior to expected good news- seller may be a plant to assist process- It more or less guarantees this will not rise above 2p even if its very good news. Thats Aim for you. It also makes Mr Beetham feel unsure unless he or others with very deep pockets are playing ducks and drakes with sp. Perhaps he/they will buy back in for even larger quantities at the lower sp just before news. Aim is a dirty game but we all know the risks except the new investors.

I look forward to the results of a further 3 to 6 diamond drill holes at Firetower when known, and published quite soon. I realise that there are delays to getting actual assay results and to updating necessary GGP website data/models etc but the drilling (generally shallow) is an ongoing process. They are on their way for sure. Further additional drilling results at Firetower (increased depths etc) and at Firetower East would not be expected for quite some time yet, but I do think it will be an interesting end to to the month along with Havieron results to say the least.

Lets hope those with spare funds will keep the momentum going as the buy in price is so inexpensive and if YA clears their hold backs, eventually, it should fly.

I expect we will get the usual jiggary pokey on good news but it coincides with my listing of Alma Cogans "Fly Me to the Moon" On an Auction website. Apt I Hope.

This will have a long way to go in time (upwards) assuming no disasters along the way. It does appear to be turned around for those that read the early stage changes reported thus far, but the real value increase will be when the upturn is announced very soon and substantiated. A good positive medium/long term investment providing BOD keep it so.
My only concern is with the general AIM market and the possible manipulations/lack of proper reporting. Such as my purchase this morning at 129.20 (only a relatively small amount) on HL not long after 8.10am. Not reported on HL or LSE. How many more were there not reported?. You dare not trust any trade figures or the subsequent immediate drop in price 1st thing as there was no rhyme/reason for such. Aim is a minefield for small investors especially if they use so called reputable brokers. That's my moan out of the way and its onwards and upwards for this currently sparkling share.

Yes, But its going up anyway in the meantime despite the efforts of MMs to keep the lid on this share. We can all see the potential and SS is playing a blinder.

Its probably from City Boys who want to stop Brexit as it was mainly ordinary people who voted for it and also for the small investors becoming rich as I am sure they think many are pensioners which is true. It galls with them that some of us may end up richer than them.

Would I be correct in thinking that if some sort of buy out was on the way whether GH would be asked to forgo his other posts with possible rival companies in order that he was fully committed to GGP and ultimately to the new company if he was offered a post such as head (Director) of exploration activities?

Only rational is that it is strange that many are selling at a time they should be buying (If trade details are to be believed) if they are genuine investors. I have not looked at trades but just took whats reported on this board as read. Dangerous, but lack of time at moment. I accept that investors can sell at anytime for many reasons but on the cusp of good news?? as seems to be the case with this share.

Yes, but by whom?. Newcrest may buy out GGP but is Newmont going to buy out Newcrest, their main rivals, who are now benefiting from the GGP exploration expertise and could end up being much larger than themselves. It will also gall Newmont that they bailed out of GGP at the other prospect. I would guess, if that's the case, certain shareholders are deliberately selling just to keep the price down prior to takeover action. In any event Hold onto your golden tickets. It's a ruthless world out there.

Your efforts and knowledge are a great boon to the likes to me and many others. They give a better understanding of what is represented on the GGP web site and the concept of the drilling campaign.
I feel maybe that there is the chance that the final results of the last drill holes will be better, and if so, will not be dragged down when reported seperately. Here's hoping!
I tried doing a computerised 3D model of Early Havieron drill results and got completely bamboozled!!

These results represent only a small proportion Of the entire Saddle Reefs area and is only an initial drill for GGP. One has to remember the Grades that have been found at surface etc from surveys etc and from historical drills have not yet been replicated by the shallow RC drills so far but they are there. The fact that gold has been located near surface is a bonus and who is brave enough to predict that future deeper drilling will not locate much more.
GH believes the area is similar to the Telfer mine some 20 klms away so the signs must be there.
I am no expert on drilling results as indeed most UK investors are not but the these maiden Saddle Reefs drill results with informative diagrams have been updated on the GGP website and makes good reading (if a little confusing) overall. One has to look at the big picture and I do feel that GH needs to stress the future potential much more than just reporting the actual results when presenting an RNS to overseas investors especially on Aim. He assumes we all have the knowlege etc to read the results positively but that is not always the case and of course the MMs seize any opportunity to decry GGP.
In time I think this prospect will come good and we must not forget, in itself, it is only a small proportion of Paterson.

It would seem, as always, there is too much speculation about forthcoming events like the rig arrival.
It will arrive at the time planned by SS.
Re-reading the RNS of the 12th Sept we know it will be by the end of September.
Phase 1 Drilling and coring of HH2 Verical well is anticipated to take 30 days. It may seem reasonable therefore, in order to optimise test production until the shut in and installation of Rig the actual drilling start date might be the 1st October. Monthly events until commercial production.
A well planned un-rushed programme by the Company is essential to the success of the venture. Patience is a virtue.

My only concern with GGP is that they are not and never have been a cash generative operation in terms of regular income.
Sure as time goes on they can raise cash but its all associated with dilution etc or get the odd windfall.
Whilst Newcrest is currently doing all the cash spend as per the farm in agreement this will not always be the case.
After the feasibility study and assuming success for Newcrest/GGP to start mining operations GGP will need to fund their 30% share of the mining operations costs in order to keep their share of the project. This wont be cheap!!
In my opinion it is essential GGP generates a significant volume of cash through the sale of at least two of its projects to generate such amounts required. If it can be achieved in order to proceed with mining operations without any significant debts all the better.
One hopes GH and the directors are on top of this at this early stage. I know its within their strategy but its still a long term journey with a few ups and downs along the way.
