At the moment it is relentless buying pressure which may take it to 4p+. Over the lunch break a MM strategy to take it a bit lower later in the afternoon may be planned with a further small fall tomorrow morning as is often the case with GGP.
But for many traders/Large investors the talk of the day over lunch on AIM will be GGP. So again there could be a small opportunity to get in lower than current SP so a little reserve pot would be useful for such an event. But overall it is still on an upward trajectory and a good buy. GLA

I had always wondered if Newmont would take over Newcrest thus getting their hands on/influence on GGP but I did a bit of easy research that I should have done before now.
It was common knowlege In early 2019 Barrick Gold Canada considered making a hostile Bid for Newmont mining because they wanted NO1 position of gold producers rather than Newmont taking the "prize". As part of a potential deal Barrick considered passing Newmont operations in Australia to Newcrest. Barrick at the time were also taking over Goldcorp and I think it was thought that it may be a step too far for Barrick to go ahead But I do not yet know if Barrick abandoned the idea and took over Goldcorp anyway or whether its all still on the back-burner.
The point is now, if things, are as good as Newcrest indicates and its tier 1 or way above as expected at Havieron and with Newcrest/GGP current Joint venture in place and Barrick still potentailly looking to expand It may be Barrick which comes in with a bid for Newmont/ Newcrest and/or GGP. Would that then cause RIO or anyone else to come in?.
I would advise holding on to your holdings until this plays out in maybe 1 or 3 years.
I am sure Gervaise Heddle is aware of all the possibilities and with his efforts to make GGP a very large company I am sure he is not going to sell out assets/other assets on the cheap to Newcrest and I would hope all shareholders should reject any offers under a true value as a matter of course.
More to do but interesting and one of you will probably update me or shoot me down but I don't mind that. Its the future potential I like as we all do.

You only have to look at the Company Info on HL or others to see that there are 3.58 Billion shares in total. Pi's are not going to control things - no way. With even a small proportion if those sloshing around it is easy for MMs and others to manipulate the market. There are those with huge and not so huge holdings who if they have CFD's or shorts/naked shorts etc for price falls etc or to get in cheaper are happy to sell a few million over a relatively short time to get the price down a bit especially with this share now most, if not all, are well in Profit. Aim is rife with them including many gambling MMs as they know they will never be punished/found out because its an unregulated (properly) market. You have to learn to read the market (not easy) if you want to trade successfully. The LTH's back their judgement/research by ignoring the daily Shenanigans.

At the moment by ignoring market forces they are drawing in the buys, Then lowering the price maybe generating sells Then repeat the same again. They will keep this up as long as they can. Perhaps it will change a little later if the Big Boys realise they can get in so low.

Yes, It sets the tone for today. They will try and get it down to under 3p by the close. We need the big buyers consistently.

My advice is don't even go there. There are so many potential influences etc on any attempted calculation and what will be, will be. We all know the prospects are good for the rest of the year and beyond. Be happy with that and take it day to day. Any mining investment is high risk especially on AIM although this one potentially appeared good over the years it is only recently that it is spot on. If expectations are set too high it can be demoralising and it is hard enough anyway to prosper on this market. I remember the bad times, yes bad times, in fact, as many in this share also do. Some will not have made it through. Trust in Gervaise Heddle saw me through.

Chunky Buys Still going through.

Don't think it's the result of pumping although I acknowlege there are pumpers. Anticipation may be and we do have PaddyGall playing for us.

I know this has been well discussed in terms of initial volume ranging from 1million ounces (recoverable) of gold to 20 million ounces or more.
My feeling is that 5 million ounces (recoverable) would encourage Newcrest to keep theTelfer facilty going for another 2years with the Havieron feed. Anything more would help. The fact they are throwing so much exploration effort at Havieron indicates a much longer term prize is a distinct possibility.
We will wait and see.
How will Newcrest move forward knowing also that there are other GGP possibilities on which they have options and others which currently they do not. GGP exploration techniques are top notch which also are an encouragement.
I have not discounted a merger on some basis between Newcrest/GGP on order to consolidate their position especially as RIO are in the background as a possible competitor.
Who knows but LTHs realise the long term future must be considered.

I emailed a question to the shareholder conference call yesterday asking if there was any reason that was causing the SP to be held back when it should be increasing as I am sure most shareholders would want to know.
Lo and behold an RNS this morning concerning industrial relations. Surely they would have been aware for a while? Perhaps it should be asked of them if there are any further unreported problems affecting the share price.
Fatgeek1 is correct that the RNS did not warrant such a drop and now its a buy opportunity if there is nothing else untoward.

UKOG will do whatever is necessary to achieve the Big Prize, come what may. Success or failure are the only 2 outcomes. If you're in, Your In, whatever happens.

A simple choice with no half measures.

After weeks of SS Knockers/and critcism of Management for no new RNS its time to relax.
We know they will have been following the work plans identified in the last RNS and no doubt working towards water solutions and also following the testing plan where possible. Not everything stops because of a problem and the goals are still there. Flow tests and pressure tests etc are ongoing where possible I would think.
The last thing I want is an RNS saying that operations are stopped or that UKOg is insolvent so I am happy to trust SS and his team to deliver whats planned in the RNS. Whatever final oil flows are achieved it will be huge for UKOG in the future and possibly near future to boot.
If you invest in Mining anywhere particularly in Oil and on AIM and in the GB you know the risks are very high.
Don't shoot or deflect the team doing all in their power to make this a success. If you cant stand the heat you know the answer.

Demand still there. Long succesion of reported sells up to 2-05pm are buys. Expect may be a price fall in meantime but then an upwards surge later this pm. Who knows but we may go into tomorrow at 3+ hopefully.

We should not dwell too much on whether results were profitable in relation to net profits. If they were all well and good and the future would be very rosy assuming the associated restructuring/associated extra costs were all covered. If net profits didn't fully cover these one off costs they will not reoccur so net profit will be generated in future (apart from future improvement costs) with full capacity production so its still looking good long term.
The full year accounts will be interesting.

This appears to be well in the control of the Market makers. Even the Daily Mail stock watch report today of the improved results has little effect so far. Trades are still not being reported or mis-reported as usual.

I remember reading somewhere that whilst most shareholders look for daily increases in value with many day trading, Institutional investors are happy not to take on the risk but prefer to wait until the case is much more secure, even if they have to pay more, as they are investing many millions of their customers money and their reputation is Paramount.
Any mining is a high risk investment. This risk is reduced by the big operators so GGP must become big enough to receive the confidence of Institutional investors.

I will get the oil out of the ground in my own way and in my own time. So there.
