The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Panama,
Your most recent posts are an inspiration especially to those of us in/near the upper age ranges.
We have well experienced most of all of the 'hells' of AIM without necessarily finding the right answers what with the different theories that abound.
But we are still here and are optimistic that what we have thought for years (aptly described as a beast of an orebody and SD is not ramping that) will come to pass by 2026 if not sooner before we ourselves pass. If we don't survive our dependants should benefit which is comforting.
I am not worried if Havieron gets taken over provided a realistic and fair price is paid but my preferred outcome would be to see it through to production ourselves as the JV partner at least.
Good luck all for 2024 and beyond and thanks to all the knowledgeable posters on this board.
LoveHandles,
You sound like ForkHandles from The Two Ronnies or perhaps you're "Big Ears"!! Where's Noddy gone?
Merry Xmas.
Very happy with the excellent uplift and the potential future for GGP. The market cannot and will not ignore this although some may try but they will be beat off eventually.
The future is still very golden indeed.
Keep those golden tickets intact.
Best wishes for Xmas and next year.
A sad time for all. A true fighter with a genteel way.
Andii,
I don't really wish to discuss GGP on this board save to say the first drill (once through cover) discovered high grades immediately and at the top part of the ore body. Subsequent infill drilling found even higher grades and future drilling (from within the ore body) is likely to find ever higher grades at greater depth.
I am lucky to have been in EEE since the Georgian Mining days and was pleased we exited Georgia and the Russian influence with enough cash etc (with me holding a large loss) to set up in Australia. I figured the management knew what they were about. I was delighted with the current find having added more to the loss when the SP fell so low relatively recently. Now 60% recovery of that loss has been recovered so far in a short time and future prospects look rosy.
I also believe a fast track to production (even at a pathfinder local level to current drilling) would be highly advantageous. It remains to be seen where SB & Co go from here. A lot of work, investigation, planning involved in the next 18months and beyond.
I am sure shareholders will greatly benefit.
In my opinion investing for the long term does throw up the occasional great opportunities.
GLA
Hello Redirons,
Hope all is well with you.
I will take up your suggestion asap.
Today I have to attend a funeral of a long time respected/trusted friend.
Best wishes.
Although I do think that that GGP will recover the lost ground relatively quickly and that we will win through in the end my gut feeling is that its going to be a battle royal right up to production and income starting flowing.
I feel there is a powerful body that is using every trick in the book (and off the book) to try and get us or Havieron cheap or similar and I don't think it is Newmont. Corrupt MM's seem to be facilitating this as there is no decent regulation on Aim and no effective organisation to stop abuse. The prize of Havieron is probably the target.
It could also be solely a group of criminals purely using us to get rich.
Even to the extent that they may be able to cause unidentified issues that prevent the Aim market from functioning like yesterday. The effect of this was that with the normal trading being stopped most pi's did not think much about it and did not post any doubts etc they may have had (probably couldn't anyway) which may have counteracted their action today. This breakdown has happened before but has the cause been explained to pi's/investors? I think not.
So they have succeeded in knocking the SP down today with no real cause existing. The case for GGP has not been weakened by the AGM today that being the planned day for them to strike.
One must assume that they knew full well that no significant news would be announced today.
Therefore, one could surmise they have a reliable source of information from within the board/top management of GGP who could be a plant. This thought has occurred in the past when the story regarding a fund raise was released to the press. It is for SD to assess this risk and take action if it were found to be true no matter how extreme the possibility or most upsettingly the knock to GGP investors sense of fair play - It is essential for GGP to be whiter than white.
I do not like bringing this subject up as I am and always have been 100% behind GGP and always will be.
I know there are those who will think these points are extreme and that I have lost it and I do hope to be proved completely incorrect in my possible assumptions but I feel it is like a risk assessment that should not be ignored.
GLA true Greatlanders. I do wish the politicians or maybe the fraud squad would do something about AIM regulation.
Toffers,
Subject to my hearing, I am pretty sure SD said/implied meetings with Newmont were taking place in the next few days (presumably to discuss MRE and other things) in his reply. So I would agree we may not get the MRE (+) immediately but maybe in a week or so - by 15th Dec is my guess if all goes well
Just to add to the optimism Mail on Sunday yesterday reported on GGP being second highest raiser (+15.?%) on Aim last week with one liner of Greatlands Golds exploration successes in Australia.
GLA.
An amazing day after the recent strong GGP revival.
Our huge Havieron find being pursued by an equally or much larger metal discovery by a minnow.
Could call it as a battle of the Shauns but not so as they are not competitors.
Great place to be at the moment and into Xmas and the New Year.
GLA Greatlanders and I expect a few are with me.
WetWipe,
We know how much gold and copper is within Havieron and we know we will get it out starting from late 2024 on and we also know it will increase further when we are drilling from within the current ore body.
Your initial question was a loaded question designed to try and disrupt but it purely displayed your ignorance to the GGP development over the last 3 years or so and our long term future. So aptly, back to your toilet is my advice to you.
GLA all genuine GGP investors
How great to once again feel the sentiment of GGP and ultimately Newmont building again at long last. My faith in GGP has not been broken at all in the last couple of years no matter what has been thrown at us.
It was good to see the confidence from Damien Stephens (Head of GGP Exploration Geology) in SD's latest interview.
In my opinion I don't think Newmont will come in with a bid for GGP and or Havieron any time soon.
Newmont will consider themselves blessed to be the leading partners in the JV with Greatland and I am sure they are fully aware of the potential of Havieron. They also know the potential of EG from their previous (not at this time) JV with Greatland. Add to these the all the other GGP prospect areas. They must also realise that the potential income from Havieron alone for possibly the next two or three decades will dwarf anything obtained by virtue of getting rid of these prospects in the short term (12 to 18 months say) in mining timespans. I am sure SD will insure Newmont know the long term benefits of keeping the JV going.
GLA and enjoy the journey to production.
Kind of the MMs to reduce SP on good news. They must want everyone to top up at bargain basement prices. Buy, buy and buy if you can.
We will probably get the detractors return but who cares about them when we are about to go on a roll.
GLA.
It does thicken I think or smell.
Thought we got rid of the Russians when we departed Georgia for Australia/Greece. Have we sleepwalked into more trouble?
Who knows?
Am I naive I wonder?
Bamps21,
Sure is, but too mind boggling for me to fully grasp, I think.
I am sure more info will probably eventually emerge with the latest (i think) ESA telescope EUCLID providing new images (eg Horse Head Nebula) on line in the last 24 hrs with several other never seen before distant space images.
Interesting subject.
No wonder gold is hard to find.
GGP and you doing a great job.
GLA
MH01,
Sure are, All to keep within the 10p. What will they do when the buy trades really take off as they will this coming month and so - and on into next year and beyond?. Perhaps the FCA will take a peak if they corrupt the market further - some hope.
GLA and keep the faith. At last we may start moving up and away to where we belong SP wise with positive news from the 6th. Nov.
Badgerbeard,
Could not agree more. The naysayers argument attempts are childish/amateurish to say the least. Is it not obvious to them that GGP is very popular on the UP and most investors are on a buying spree.
GLA all true Greatlanders.
Referring to my daily account valuations including GGP for the last few years it does throw up some interesting observations.
History confirms what we know already,
The long share price fall of GGP to July 22 and beyond.
The first reported Ortex data (available to me) on GGP Chat on June 28th 2022 of shares on loan (approx 64M)
The year long (October 22 to September23) apparent manipulation period where the overall share price has fluctuated within fairly well defined upper/lower limits and within which Ortex data saw shares on loan rise to approx 82M.
Oct 23 share price rise and shares on loan falling to approx 62M as shorts started closing.
It would seem that Callum Baxters' Starvest Timings are spot on for giving his investors freedom to individually trade GGP shares in the fairly near future if the vote etc goes through.
In my opinion the results of this action will not only be beneficial for those shareholders of Starvest but the action will give a further boost to all GGP shareholders by increased interest and additional anticipated extra purchasing of GGP shares as a result of the Starvest move. The realisation is that GGP are so close to production In mining timescales and the associated income boost.
With everything else going on in a positive manner and with the news due would not want to be out of GGP for the next year or so (glad i am not a shorter).
The futures getting brighter all the time in my opinion.
GLA.
I guess MM's have a lot to answer for. Does anyone honestly believe that there has been the immense sell off by investors to cause the immediate share price fall by such a piffling RNS?
Keep the faith.
GLA
I do not understand your continued demands for SD to release details of the outstanding MRE.
I do not believe the majority of GGP shareholders are clamouring for this action.
I would suggest that the majority are confident and happy in the knowledge when it does come it will be "big" news. and are also happy that SD is allowed to progress his corporate plans/negotiations in relation to Havieron and Newmont unimpeded for all of us to benefit.
Your conclusion that the success of GGP depends on the MRE is rubbish. GGP overall is much more than that.
As always keep the faith in GGP and SD to deliver the success for all GGP shareholders.
