Mainstream Governments are transitioning to Green policies, and that will undoubtedly sideline fringe parties. However COP26 is more about grandstanding than anything else. And yes, the letter was direct and succinct, but at what point does KB follow it through with some form of direct action? I stand by my assertion that the budget is a key moment in Swedish politics from out perspective, and that KB knows far more than he is permitted to make public.

EricDraven and Suzy, the letter is nothing more than a Political manoeuvre by KB, applying gentle pressure and case building. Politicians are beyond embarrassment, and a letter is hardly going force Baylan's hand. KB knows this...

Once the autumn budget is passed, for which Green support is needed, there will be a slow decoupling of the parties as they seek to differentiate themselves in the eyes of the electorate prior to the 2022 elections. Job creation through mining would be a good place to start would it not?

Politicians and ministers in government do the ‘Politicking’ and little else. They are the public face of government, rarely have their portfolios for long, and they never get to grips with their departments. They are a dispensable part of the party political machine. Civil Servants are the tail that wags the dog, and they alone will have done the hard yards on Kallak. Baylan leaving changes little. This government will be held accountable, either by the media or electorate. Ministers have come and gone, and the issue of the Kallak application, whilst not contributing to any politicians demise, has seen them all off. The exploitation licence application has outlived them all. It’s a problem that festers and simply won’t go away. Sooner or later, the elephant in the room must be addressed.

After the autumn budget is passed would be my guess. Lövfen (and or his replacement) need the Greens to get their spending plans through Parliament. After that, it’s fair game as we enter the last year of government.

Delays aside, this was outlined in the capital raise. The RNS dated the 6th November 2020 clearly stated that 22% of the capital raised, namely £719,000 would be invested in Vardar to pursue “The drilling of exploration targets”.

I wouldn’t be surprised either... But Baylan has slowly backed himself into a corner. The only issue being, who will hold him to account?
