To me this looks like further cost cutting but with an eye on the cost of borrowing in future. I suspect like many companies they suspect the terms of future loans could be up and hence have sent a message to their lenders that there are alternative sources of money. Suspect time will show this to be a good move. Hopefully they have their eye on something.

Really pleased to see Grainger have got their debt under £1bn well ahead of schedule and by some margin. The house has very much been put in order this year and I would hope the continued rise of South East property prices will provide them with steady growth over the next 12 months. I will be holding, expecting slightly steadier growth this year. Much depends on finding some more exciting projects like Aldershot and the continued trimming of debt. Be interesting to see where the management see things heading as this company really have their finger on the pulse when it comes to the rental market. I like having a guess where the price is going but holding off to the markets digest Grainger.

Easier to buy than property in London and I believe more effective. What do we think about interim's? GRI, MTVW and DJAN all positive. Any further buys are either here or DJAN with GRI still a hold until after results. Recently topped up DJAN as seems to be trailing MTVW in realising it's value at present. I think Bev 88 is right and this will simply follow London prices upwards for an unknown period. 7000 today where next? Do Mountview have the ability to beat the wads of foreign cash to future opportunities or can they afford to sit on their hands for a while having done the hard work when prices were better value?

I'm with you. Greggs need to look at what made them popular. Try any of the small mining towns of the North East and they will find their answer. Small family bakeries with great pies and cakes. Too much reliance on cheap fatty puff pastry and size of product dropping faster than a Nestle chocolate bar. Kick the accountants off the factory floor and listen to the bakers first. Forget sensory analysis etc. just look where the queues are at the family bakers and pork butchers and digest please. Still hanging in here as I am hoping they get it soon.

Should be lots of good news out of Grainger results soon. Hoping to see they have got that debt under £1bn already as they have seemed fairly fixed on this figure for some time. Watching closely to gauge if they can maintain performance through 2014.

Sold majority of mine at 381p the other week. I know Tune usually sees 330p as a buy opportunity. What do we think this time round? Apart from buying a few MTVW for the long term I am still sat on the cash and not much has changed at SL. Buying at 330p and selling at 380p is paying for all my holidays at present. If I get DRIP as well then even better.

Had my first ever day trade on Sl and lost the princely sum of £70! Main thing was I sold main hold at 381p before results and now looking at the 330 to 345 buy in if opportunity arises. Think a couple of important figures have left the company. Why? Well Grimstone is well in charge a couple of the high flyers have sought other positions. Don't think will make any difference to the company. If 330 to 340p arises will raise my stake again as the 330 to 380 range seems a money spinner at present. PS still hold 15% of everything in SL and have plenty of faith.

Just had a cheeky buy having sold at 382 last week. Will be blue before long.

Appear to be some green shoots in statement but it spends a lot of time on the weather. Sometimes too cold, sometimes too hot. Statement says they will focus on core business, agree to a certain extent but the £4.7 million drop in profits has hit the share price again. Do not want to see the weather being used as an excuse again. They are focusing on costs and shop updates so will stick with them as should see some improvement next 12 months providing the weather improves!

Maybe you are right. I must admit every time I can afford another 50 of these it is not quite the same as owning 1000s of something else. However, I am sticking with you on this as GRI and MTVW have both done well for me. See a report in Times and a few others suggesting US property starting to fly. I know one of your favourites DJAN have an asset base there so looking to top that up next or find a US/ Mexican property fund. I am beginning to think 200p might be time to call it a day on major GRI exposure.

Been watching for a while. Bought in this morning. Too good a company to not bounce back on general economic upturn. See this as a nice discount for a longer term ISA buy.

Looks like Grainger broken through and will march on to 200p as i said in May. Expect some big buys going forward.

Sold a few thousand as bought in at start, 260 and 330 so a little profit taking. Will be back if see a dip down to 340 to 350 on a little bad news. Don't expect bad news just feel it is time take a slice and circle an opportunity.

Actually it was Johnny Cash. I am getting old!! London property shares still strong. GRI, MTVW and DJAN all doing well. GRI a hold might top up one of the other two.

Reckon Tune is spot on for a top up at this price.

Good call by Billybean but when you don;t need to buy sometimes walking away is best option. Now (not still) think Stan has about 150 points to drop but as a bottom call Billybean has it spot on based on my research. Hope BB is wrong. PS I dipped in but only at 1410p. Still waiting for the "greedy move".
