The orders are not showing on the book at the time of trade. It's a Market Makers way of disguising momentum. The momentum appears to be trending upwards at the end of the week which suggest positive sentiment, especially seeing the size of some of the earlier trades. If it was trending down and I was seeing this sort of trading I would suspect bad news or a placing. IMO , Dyor.

Just I case anybody didn't understand the £75 million contract or for newbies FROM THE RNSThe UK-RTC contract formalises the agreement among UK-RTC members and Abingdon Health, in order for Abingdon Health to supply AbC-19™ Rapid tests to the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). On 6 October 2020, the UK Government entered into a contract with Abingdon Health, on behalf of the UK-RTC, for the supply of the AbC-19TM Rapid Antibody tests. As part of the contract, the UK Government placed its first order for one million units.So the govt has ordered one million tests. So whatever the cost of that will be deducted from the £75 million . As RegulatorUK said it's a call off contract.

Well I don't know if this is knowledge that I have missed but......Operation Moonshot spend will be circa £114 billion. It's a very large and strange number. My goodness time to throw the sink at this if we get a silly dip.

I understand the benefits of Real-time PCR but it seems Endpoint is gathering momentum because of the increased throughput. Anyway as said by someone earlier Covid tests is a big market , big enough for us DNA Nudge and Oxford Nanopore who seem also to be doing well. And that's just in the UK. You have to keep researching though and not rest on your laurels.

But the company they have just acquired , IT-IS International specialise in Real-time PCR. Endpoint PCR is old hat technology and that's why I ask about comparability.

Hi will this affect Novacyts products? I can see that reading various medical blogs and journals that Novacyt provide gold standard equipment to the NHS at present but will this move impact future orders ? I have a large holding for me but I don't really understand this change of emphasis and the impact on Novacyt.

For instance you might appoint a supplier to provide office furniture and set aside a budgeted sum
You can then buy furniture from that supplier when required over an agreed time period without the need to tender. It gives the govt control of it costs over a period of time.
It's really good news but at present can't be declared on an RNS because it's an intention to buy not an actual order.

And have had some experience in tender processes The £75 million is not an order rather an appointment granted to Abingdon that the govt has set aside a budget of £75 million to be drawn upon on issue of orders. The government would be apoplectic if ODX issued an RNS claiming a £75 million order.
The big news here is not the order but the intention to order goods from a now validated supplier of an acceptable product. The kudos of this cannot be understated.

Investors paying over SP and directors buying. What more can an investor ask for?

Can't see them doing a load of Antibody tests in the teeth of the pandemic. But perhaps when numbers start to drop. More likely when vaccine is due to get s picture of who needs it.
