AIB has c 2.7billion shares whereas BIRG has 1.1billion. AIB current cap value= c 6.29bn and BIRG =4.75bn. Both banks are well up year to date- Bank of ireland up more than AIB. Govt stake in AIB will hold it back but both are long term plays on economy here. As a country we are becoming incompetitive

All, no suprise to me to see the Dow Jones down under 30K and over 700 points today- something i have been saying for some time is correction on equities

indeed- something i predicted was the world indices would fall sharply - inflation will persist and indices much more to fall given the rate they have increased off artificial stimulus was unsustainable

as predicted govt stake now zero- a significant threshold. well done FBS on trades -

for the first time in a long time i don't know what move to make silverhorse. my gut tells me to hold for 6.50 after institutional buys are over with. there will be recession next year but a mild one by historical comparisions

I stand by 6.50 as next buy opp Paddow even if I am hearing interest rates and recession will be a lot worse in 2023 than forcast- i am a long term holder

or someone here buying onto irish banks maybe?
