Btw, don’t set any expectations at 98%. Let’s start with an equal 80% for an vastly superior product (saliva based, test strip) and work upwards from there. I’m expecting better than 80%, but I’d rather be patient and await results than throw numbers around with no basis for them.

End of the day, if GDR can sell their PCR test across the world, the share price will soar and likewise if Avacta’s test works. Nice to be balanced.

Bear in mind their product is vastly inferior, it requires specific bits of kit and they’re not setting the world alight with 80%. Then consider these:

1) It added billions to their market cap

Excellent post O&W, fully agreed on all points. Having watched the recent excellent presentations by both companies I’m invested in them for precisely those reasons. GDR will do very well outside the UK, the unique freeze dried product is perfect for this.

BAMS is incremental and will help with capacity where needed, it won’t replace PCR by any stretch of the imagination. Genedrive might struggle in the U.K. due to existing contracts here and lower infection rates, but they now have a product ready for sale and I think they’ll due really well globally due to their unique freeze dried offering.

In fact, I liked their product so much I bought the company (or at least a very tiny bit of it). As I’ve said, in the short term I see more movement over there, with all gains being reinvested here. But now I’m doing that annoying thing of ramping another company. Maybe I’ll return the favour on their board, they were talking about their test being used in airports. No chance, that’s Awacta LFD territory. Plenty room for all...

They are running various steps in parallel so I don’t see it taking until end of August and I don’t see further optimisation, they’re doing that now. They’ll have expressions of interest via medusa and do you not think Donald & Boris will be straight on the phone? A single slip up would be just that and then overcome. As for track and trace, it’s a marriage made in heaven, we’ve got an app, haven’t you heard?

Agree, but then I would, as I’m also on ‘The List’. One of the main messages was that patience is required as they’re trying to achieve a year’s development and there’s no point rushing it just to get something useless to market. Much better to take ‘a few weeks’ to get ‘the best’ test and be the market leader.
