I asked the question 3 questions previously, I have checked and Thursday Dar - HRE flight is not repeated next week, it only happened today, additionally there is a recorded flight from Zanzibar to Dar today as well for some unknown reason. Maybe a trial flight with the new smaller aircraft ?
On Flightradar24 on FJH this should be fixed ASAP if there is an equipment fault .
There is an extra daytime flight out and back same day DAR to HRE, anyone know anything about this ?

Thank Heavens
It is not showing on flightradar24 as fine, unless recording equipment is faulty and not recording all flights.
Things do not seem to be running to schedule even for one aircraft. What is wrong?
I agree in normal circumstances this would not be a disaster, it is justifiability described as such as the disaster was in the sequence of events. We had already let people down due to deliberate obfusication in delaying the E190 Launch, so we had to cancel flights ruining peoples plans. We again arranged a new schedule on which people again booked only for an Extra E190 to arrive and the other immediately to go offline, again cancelling flights and ruining plans. We then again got two aircraft back just before Christmas and re-commenced the schedule.. Passengers entrusted their Christmas and New Year plans to us to deliver and I am sure were nervous given the foregoing. Then Again we got passengers to their outbound destination and a disaster in PR and Customer perception occurred when we cancelled flights leaving passengers stranded at probably the most booked period of the year. I am sure if you were one of those stranded at New Year and due back, you would consider it a disaster and will probably vow to never trust your important arrangements to us again. Whilst these things happen, and it will not be Terminal to us, I still think that the very small time period during which all these events transpired, makes it much more of a significant event. If you have 100 successful flights over several years, and only have one problem, you accept it in good faith, If on the other hand you just happen to have been let down 3 times in just a few weeks, you may feel differently.
Looks like Mbeya and Mwanza flights cancelled everything showing sold out. If we get people away for New Year but cannot get them back home again, we are going to suffer some very vocal and bad social media comments. People will remember for a long time being let down on their New Year Break.
As FJI has not flown today so far.
Here's hoping that 2018 will be the about turn in the downward spiral of the Fastest share price and that a fast and steady share price rate of increase awaits as we expand.
It may be one ATR to start, but I seem to remember Fastjet originally said it was 3 as in the attached clip BRAND LICENCE AGREEMENTS ENABLING EXPANSION OF FASTJET BRAND INTO SOUTH AFRICA AND MOZAMBIQUE AGREEMENT IN PRINCIPLE FOR THE LEASE OF THREE ATR 72-600 AIRCRAFT WITH AN OPTION TO PURCHASE TO SUPPORT GROWTH ACROSS EXISTING MARKETS AND ENTRY INTO SOUTH AFRICA AND MOZAMBIQUE
I wonder how ,where, and when it is going to be deployed
Gosh it has been quiet with lack of trolls, but I am sure they are lurking waiting to pounce on the slightest bad news but will not appear if it is good news. Happy Christmas and Prosperous Fastjet New Year to All
On Facebook on 6th December Fastjet replied to a question regarding Dar to Maputo Route 6 Dec '17 fastjet fastjet Hi Fazila , we would love to take up that route one day. Stay tuned on our website on www.fastjet.com and look out for the latest updates and you may be surprised...wink emoticon;-) .SC Given the reply I can only assume that something was on the cusp of being announced and did not happen when expected.
now running out of time for Nico to give investors an RNS update of how plans have gone against target for the last Quarter of 2017 which was predicted to be the quarter of the big change. It looks like it will be January for an after event last quarter review.
I am fearful of negative feedback for passengers missing flights when we apply the 30 minute rule. A Fastnote is advising passengers to arrive 3 hours before scheduled departure time as JNB staff are doing Extended Travel Checks during the busy Xmas / New Year travel period the Fastnote covers 21st December to 2nd January. With heavy traffic to the Airport at that time of year, I am sure that not everyone will have read Fastnote or indeed not made it to the Airport and through Extended Checks before 30 Mins before Departure, and if they miss the flight and ruin their Xmas will try to blame Fastjet.
It was actually on 12th December that Fastjet announced the extra flights, it just seems that the Herald's News is always very late in this case 8 days. This has in the past caused confusion with people thinking it is new news, when in fact it is just late reporting.
This is clearly why Protectionist ZAMBIA was playing hardball about LUN -HRE and increased flights. So much for Open Skies and level playing field. When will they learn that this type of attitude slows their overall growth and prosperity in every sphere and harms their population.
Thank heavens
