George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
If we are to be using the E190 for this route how and on what routes will we be using the ATR72-600 and how soon will it arrive in DAR. It cannot sit forever unused in Fastjet Livery on the Tarmac somewhere ?
Fjetcrazy I was just going to post that maybe Wolfgang might take up the cudjel and put some public pressure on the powers that be. Hopefully it will get sorted and start around the same time ?
I am absolutely fuming, surely after all the problems and prevarication of Tanzanian CAA in the past, we did not promise and start selling tickets and now disappointing passengers before having cast iron guarantees of approval with all the signed and approved paperwork already received. They talk about open skies but seem to always have their own agenda. It would appear they are trying to hold onto the old practice of greasing the wheels to get anything done.
Whilst it does not show Kigoma on the map, it is included as a destination list on the left hand page with the Aircraft on it and Kigoma is the last mentioned destination.
I have tried every which way to view a copy of February-March Places inflight Magazine today with no luck. Maybe Tomorrow ? unless anyone finds it first ?
will be Tanzanian registered, it will allow us some flexibility to use the smaller capacity (lower cost) aircraft when PAX on a specific day are lower, and should help if we have maintenance downtime to use the other. Until Mtwara and Dodoma are available to us, which are hopefully being negotiated as we speak.
Maybe they have in mind Dodoma for the ATR ?
The Citizen article seems to indicate that it will be the E190 that will be servicing Kigoma ? http://www.thecitizen.co.tz/News/Fastjet-launches-sixth-route-in-Tanzania/1840340-4284234-qeykqaz/index.html
I also Wonder when starting to use the new ATR, if we will try for the 3rd time flying to Zanzibar with a more right sized aircraft ?
Kigoma would look like being a good geographic spread move as it will be our first community on Lake Tanganyika and is close to Burundi and the DRC is other side of Lake. There maybe could be a similar fishing dynamic like Mwanza on Lake Victoria
As according to FlightRadar24 operations on FJH have been erratic ?
I apologise to anyone who may have been offended by the innocent use of the word. No Offence Intended.
Nice and Clean and a big improvement. Only problems are still no Ancillary income Cross selling elements, ie, Car Parking , Hotel deals etc. One further issue seems to be the lack of a back to the home booking screen on each page, making it difficult to go back to where you started , the home page. This probably at present means having to log off and back on again to get to the ticket ordering screen.
Fast jet are Starving us of new news, as their has not been any for a long time.
It has gone quiet on delivery of the first ATR and you would have thought we would have announced routes and be selling tickets to minimise downtime after delivery.
In That case it will be the controlling 55% that will make it go pear shaped in time.
On Flightradar24 ?
Thanks Fjetcrazy thought it must be something like that, good however for new passengers to try us.
maybe an airline breakdown/Cancellation by someone else but every flight (4) Full / Sold Out Outbound HRE-JNB return journeys available
You can go many weeks with no new news and no idea what Nico or the Company is up to?
