I should correct myself with the below and state when doing the maths at a current 16.5p a share that i think 20% per year for the next 5 years plus a 3% dividend is highly likely and that gets you to 41p - we are already on a 32p 12 month price target by two brokers. This is one of those stocks to put in the bottom drawer and just hold as it will come good and unfortunately the saudi one off tax ruling really scuppered the SP this year but it was just that a one off and was sorted and paid as the company is making alot of free cashflow and will continue to do so as it grows and deleverages.

Hi Rotherby, its ok to feel that despondency as i have as well the past few weeks with the raft of good news from GGP, gold price high and the shenanigans of the corporates supressing the price while other producers move forward at greater knots. Our time will come and hold steady as hard as it can be to do and the reasons that you invested in the first place will start to bear fruit as long as we have a gold price north of 3500 for the longer term and i mean 4-5 years which i think we will have from all my reading and what has driven the price move by central banks.

For me personally the next 3-4 years for GGP and my own personal financial circumstances are interlinked to a small degree but will make my decision to retire all that much easier if GGP can get to that £8-£10 SP in the next 3-4 years. We all have our plans, hopes and wants for ourselves and families that we may support and GGP for me is part of that journey!

TT i struggled to understand what there comment was about with GGP as they discuss detractors but then state from not owning GGP!!!!

Completely agree- mgmt are doing a good job it seems in getting the company back to where it should be with lower debt levels, large order book and a 5 year strategy and with that will be the re-rating we all expect and I am genuinely expecting 10-15% growth a year plus a dividend over next 5 years

Soared $40 in the space of 15 minutes - any reason why?

Interesting to see the trading volumes really drop off the last couple of days and stabilisation (maybe too early to state) but seems to have happened. Less than 0.5m shares traded today and not alot of interest it seems. Gold price between 3900 and currently 4000 is good for GGP with an above 6000aud an oz price so far this quarter.

Looks like the FS will be the next bit of information unless they do another drilling report update later this year or early next.

Agree wiltshireman - he could make any statement like i am going to sell all the gold in Fort Knox for 3500 an oz and the price tanks!. Unlikely to happen but the price of gold is not driven by a chart/graph but real world events and it is known that the chinese and indian governments are selling down US securities and turning to gold. How long this continues will determine the length of any sustained bull run OR we get several months of sideways movement within a range of $100-$200 usd an oz. Personally happy with that as all miners keep making alot of money on 3700-3900 an oz!

Great post Winvestor and sadly what happened with EEE post MRE is what i have seen countless times with the adage buy on rumour sell on facts coming to mind. I agree that there was nothing new in the MRE and also the next stages were not really discussed which i was surprised by as the CEO of EEE is a good story teller/sprucer and rightly so with the size of the deposit he has in a tier 1 jurisdiction. So it was a surprise to not have the next steps articulated to the shareholders.

For me i sold out on the news and have waited for the retrace into the 40s i thought but have now held off until we get a base before buying back in as potentially think 20s is possible with no news.

For me what i would like to understand is what is the development timescale IF they could get funding. Are we looking 2032 or 2028 for instance before revenues start flowing. For me this information is key as to whether i buy and hold or just leave on a watchlist. Anyways again thanks for your post and i hope that some positive news comes out soon for the LTHs

Snorkler it is interesting that they factor in Argonaut base case 41% of the current value of GGP in Haverion and 70% at spot prices! If the Haverion FS really expands on what the brokers currently have in there analysis we could see a complete re-rating across all brokers as they all fundamentally use same principle but different AISC, production outputs and gold price!

Agree with you Bamps that usage of the credit facility alongside with some cash from the growing cash pile would be the best as long as no equity dilution in using the financing facility!

Still like to understand and a question for Shaun at some stage is what he has planned with the growing cash pile over next 2-4 years - share buyback, dividends, acquisition of another producer or increasing the processing capacity in the Patterson region if possible?

Quite incredible that for the first time in some time GGP has outperformed on a rising SP Endeavour, Hochshild and Fresnillo (same as FRES). WE seem to never go up at the same level but seem to decrease at a greater pace and have consistently then underperformed the others. Lets hope that this is the start of some parity with other FTSE gold miners.

Yes by end of March- by then though we will have another 2 quarters of hopefully consistent production and a FS due for haverion and would have thought more drilling results from the ongoing drilling campaign. Let’s see if US lowers interest rates which will then underpin gold price as well.

The Haverion FS will definitely be a catalyst for securing longer term future BUT I have felt for months the real catalyst is Telfer and the company stating we have 10 years of ore to process for another 3-4m ozs and that with over 12 months of quarterly results should help to alleviate worries of analysts ! Then shaun and the team have time post that Telfer announcement to do the further work to increase any potential at Telfer, build haverion at a pace that suits and the key for me is that the worries about how long Telfer will go for with the markets go away in the short and medium term!

London we all feel the same way especially when you see Fresnillo and Endeavour up again today after taking the initial hit in price. GGP never rebounded !!

Not great to see GGP -5% when the other big players are up today!!

The only thing that has changed since we were £4.30 share price is that the price of gold is now more like 3900 rather than 4300 an oz. The company has not changed what it has and if anything we know more after the drilling results and ASIC release in qtrly for more positive information. At £4.30 we are not even valued at $3000USD an oz on 300k oz output pa so unfortunately these large swings will continue while we have a gold price that is all over the place! SO try to avoid looking at it daily if it bothers you.
