Glad to see some movement on this stock. Been holding for about 5 years. I had nearly forgotten about it.

Looking at the list of cases here: https://unece.org/env/pp/cc/communications-from-the-public , we can see that the latest case in which the commitee has published their findings is from 2017. I think it highly unlikely the commitee resolve this matter anytime soon.

Inbrackets, where does it say the decision is pencilled in for this meeting?

We can also see that the commitee only publishes recommendations, that are in no way binding to the party concerned, so I dont understand why the APA decision should hinge on this commitees findings.

Seeing a lot of misinformation regarding lithium in Portugal in the media lately. There is always a lot of misinformation leading up to an election, I guess. Still I find it very upsetting how the news outlets will print anything these people say without any factchecking whatsoever.

Ines Sousa Real of the Peoples Animals Nature party doesnt think lithium is worth extracting. She gives no reason for this view, despite SAV scoping study finding it economical at $685/t. SC6 is now north of $2500/t.

This "expert" thinks theres no point because hydrogen is better. Again there is no evidence given to support this view. He doesnt seem to realise FCEVs also need a battery.

This guy says batteries should be made from salt.
The only sodium ion battery maker I'm aware of is CATL. They want to use it in their AB battery pack, where it works in tandem with a lithium ion cell and for grid storage.

Not me. Im up about 40% atm, and not even the slightest bit tempted to sell.

-The political will to make this project happen, both at the national and EU level, is massive.
-Most EIAs get a favourable ruling.
-Potential to acquire additional exploration sites.
-Lithium demand is skyrocketing.
-Galp, Northvolt and VW refinery in the works.
-Big miners like Rio and Fortescue getting into lithium.

Anyone know why Galp has gone for Sines over Matosinhos as a site for the lithium plant? Geographically Matosinhos makes more sense. Obviously there's a lot more to it than that, but I'm just curious about the reason.

A little bit hard to read through Google Translate, but to my understanding Galps lithium value chain project was deemed eligible. They must now present a final proposal in order to recieve funding.

Indeed. Galp also announced they are stopping oil and gas exploration pretty much immediately (last hole to be drilled in January), essentially going all in on renewables. This, to me, really speaks volumes about their ambitions.
