Bottom around 31/32p.I am looking at the daily moves to get it more accurate.Can anybody see,25p or 17p ?,the next levels I have if I get it wrong. City is betting on Debenhams profits tanking ?.How are they so certain ?.Would you be a shorter at these levels?. Its 'like they KNOW something that we don't know.If you were a shorter, would you look away from the screen for a whole minute anytime ?.I wouldn't would you ?.reckon you could be wiped out if you did !!!. Anybody agree ?.

Mulder,i'm surprised at you,the rise from 40 to 50?.Had to happen,you don't need to look far on the chart to see the reason four it !!!!. That,'s my take on it.

Went in the store in Milton Keynes.Some stuff not priced.I complained to an assistant,he told me that all he needed to do was to go and find out the price.I told,him that he had better find out all the other prices of other items on the shelf as they weren't displayed either. A member of the public told me that some had the prices on the bottom.I then asked how could shoppers "browse" for bargains. if they had to ask the price,or look at the bottom of all the goods. If I had to do that in all the stores in the mall,my 3 hour shop would take me 9 hours+. iI would not be able to spot a potential bargain as I could not see the price as I browsed. The last time I complained about this was in BHS,they all seem to miss the point. I went into a local store where I had seen some nice trinkets a few months ago.On looking for them this time I noticed that they had only a quarter of the items that I saw some months ago.when I asked an assistant if they were getting more stock in for Christmas he told me that it wasn't his job to know and when pressed further he said that his manager had not told them whether any more was coming in. What a strange way to do business.A store has 4 times more items to choose from, anytime but Christmas,when more trade is done.And they can't tell customers when asked if they are getting more stock in [including the things that I wanted to buy].Bizarre. On a lighter note.Anybody got circa 31p as a possible bottom?.

Just pushed through top channel.Interesting to see if it goes down through it again,and how many times it tests it.

As I posted some weeks ago,194 reached,then a pullback,now touched 198.Interesting to see what happens now. It needs to push through it upwards. Failure to do this in the future wouldn't be a good thing.

Yes Ollie,7p in all,and broken the trend-line that has been in place since the last low.It ain't looking good,and with the under performance of the s.p. generally compared to the rest of the sector,it all looks a bit scary.Not good at all!!.

Although it's only a 3p fall,on the chart it speaks of the price pushing even further away from the trend-line that it has broken through. It's allowed to to go back up and break through the line again,but the more it falls the less likely,and more difficult it would be to do that.Guess you guys have noticed this anyway. With the booker decisions due,[tomorrow?],I fear the worst.Perhaps there will be a surprise,and it all turns out positive. We shall see.A time for strong nerves.

They have till Tuesday then?..The trend line has been broken on the chart.whether it breaks back through it is open to debate. But is this all looking a little bit ominous!!!!!!???!!.These shares are not for the feint-hearted at the moment !!!!.Any strength early in the day seems to peter out later on in the day.Thoughts anyone?.

One thing is sure,the upward move from 166.5 in June,is still intact.The trend-line is still there and not penetrated. I'ts slow progress, [as expected] but it's still within an upward channel.You guys probably know this anyway. So, so far so good.

I have to agree that opening up stores in the U.S.A. was a bad idea.You only have to go in to any Publix store there to see scale of what you have to contend with.To take on these guys in their own back yard was a big ask and really should have been considered carefully. What's the latest on their exploits in China ?.Once again I visited Lidl with my wife,same problem,she said that you couldn't do ALL your weekly shop there.i noted first hand all the stuff that you couldn't buy.Therefore as I've said before,i reckon shoppers will tire of them.

Jonjo I am a technophobe.I use no program.Only my basic interpretation of the Elliott Wave,and other stuff,and things that ihave learned through my own researchI don't get it right all the time short-term,so that's why I only punt the big moves. I only wish I knew a programmer that could do my horse-race system that I have been developing since 1987,that takes about 48 hours solid to set up.it could do it quicker and find me new algos that I have to find manually.Saturday big race gave near cards 13 and 20,20 won @130/1,didn't do it unfortunately, [I thought I knew best !!!].Fascinating system but exhausting to set up. Anyway,all price movements are all about Math.The best way to go is to find your own algorhythms and when you do find them,keep stuum.I have just recently discovered something very interesting. As I say your own research is better than anybody else's.It's all there on the charts,just start playing around with the highs and lows.That's the best advice I can give.

It's already touched 193/4p as I predicted.Now it's going to test the next resistance at 198.It really needs to push on through decisively.These results have been widely received as good news, so it needs to make good progress from here. It needs to be finishing off the days strong and not petering out late on.The next couple of weeks should tell us what's going on long-term,re the S.P. .

It reached 194 this morning.[as anticipated],and those that bought in at 166 have "sold on the fact"[news]. Now it becomes very interesting.As it appears that the news is very good,[And would anybody disagree?] the S.P. will yo yo as the Bears and the Bulls lock horns. If the Bulls lose out and the price edges lower and lower,[this could take a while ],this would be disastrous long term. If on the other hand the Bulls win and the chart shows that it's categorically broken out of it's trading range,then the skys the limit. As i have said before,this is going to be a pivotal moment historically in Tesco's Share price.It's going to be a hairy ride short-term.Good luck to all of you,[yes even you Bulls !!].

Ah yes s.p. doing as expected.should rise tomorrow and meet resistance at 192/3.On announcement they could be marked up to 198,as this is when the battle takes place.the media et al and i,m sure people on here will have differing interpretations of the news. If you draw a simple line on the chart at 251 and 218.7 and extend ,you can see that it would be nice for the bulls if in the coming weeks if it could breech the line and stay above it.Of course it could well touch the line and pull back from it.It really then needs to breech it significantly to instill real confidence. It could as well meander around this area for a while before it breaks up or down.Whatever happens will be a moment of truth time. Should be interesting.If the news appears good but the s.p.runs into big selling at the resistance points it would be extremely bearish,confirming the impression that the "Big Boys" know something that we don't know!.Of course the s.p. could take off,time will tell. Just one more thing.My experience of Lidl/Aldi.Lidl opened a store near me.So narrow that it doesn't have enough width to ensure more than enough checkouts.When it opened 2 of the 6 self service checkouts didn't work.Most of the people nearby use their car park as an overflow so that they can shop in the high street that is close by.Therefore not nearly enough parking spaces. My wife tells me that she would not be able to do a weekly shop there without going to a major store to pick up stuff that Aldi/Lidl don't do. Most Greengrocers,Butchers etc have closed down,because shoppers couldn't be bothered to do a big shop at the main supermarket then travel and re-park at another supermarket or Butchers/greengrocers to save a couple of quid buying something slightly cheaper. My Sainsbury local is full of shoppers who don't mind paying a premium for goods that they pick up at the last minute. I asked their manager why they didn't build a bigger car park.His reply was that they didn't think that it was going to be so popular.And i'm sure it's the same for Tesco locals. So if shoppers are not bothered about paying over the odds for goods for the sake of convenience,why would they bother to go to another supermarket just to to save a few quid if that.Considering that with the roads these days would probably entail at least [adding on re-parking et al]another 45 minutes on top of your weekly main shop.Why would you do it ?.Considering that people earn between at least 10 to 20 pounds plus an hour at work,why would you spend 45 minutes plus saving a couple of quid?.I think that the novelty of these new stores could well wear off.

Tesco should rise and how far it goes short-term is possibly 194,might go as high as 198 intra-day.What happens then is open to debate. Having risen up from 166, perhaps people have bought on the expectation of good news,and are then going to sell on the fact,when it is all announced.

As Amazon has been mentioned and i asked the question before,without any answer coming back. Who will be best placed if Amazon enters the market?.Will in fact Amazon be able to do it all correctly seeming that perishable is a lot different to Non-perishable.

I see the shares bounced of of support level at 182.8 at 10.30 this morning.Should move up fro here on a short-term view.

Ok well sell off is not the correct word,sold is prob more appropriate.I am meaning that when Morrissons bottomed at 139p the same as Tesco,the big boys decided to sell.Thus the difference in price between the two companies. As i say it's probably one of two things that has happened.Perhaps the big boys are just waiting to pile in when the Merger with Booker becomes reality.Just a safety first measure on their part. As i said in my post,is there any other possible reason for the lag behind of the S.P. in the sector?. If all the signs are bullish and are interpreted as bullish,why does the market at the moment not share the same view?. Just a thought on my part.anybody think the same?.

I have come up with two possibilities as to what's happening to the share price.If what the Bulls have said on here is correct, then all their observations are now factored in to the share price ?.So why has the S.P. underperformed?. A possible reason is that the markets hate uncertainty.With the Booker deal et al not 100% certain,[and if not 100%,they swerve for now],the big boys decided to sell off thinking that when all is confirmed they can buy back in. If that's not the case,they are obviously taking a different view. Which view is correct?.Of course you may have a different idea on the reason for what's happening. There may be something else going on.Any ideas?.

I see it's down this morning,but on a short term look,it will probably reach 194.1 on a closing price but could go as high as 197.31 intraday, [ok it,s precise,i'll probably get it totally wrong anyway!!]. There should be a pause for breath then in the S.P..After that comes the moment of truth time when Bulls and Bears lock horns.Then things will become a whole lot clearer for everyone. What would be the impact on S.P. if say Amazon took over Morissons ?.Would Amazon be able to put a dent in all in the current sector?.Do people on here think that Amazon are capable of getting it all done right,?considering that Perishable produce is a new ball game,and all the other hurdles they would have to contend with.
