Can't do a lot of asset stripping with 5% stake

There's a massive increase in the number of people choosing cruising holidays - young and old. That, plus the ever increasing age demographic of the UK population means that to compete saga had to invest in new ships that are attractive and more luxurious fitting the more premium product offered. There's no point coming on this BB and gloating about selling at a higher price - any comments should relate to the business as is and the future. Btw, the first new ship only launched last week so has hardly had time to make any impact. Look at the SP movement over the last fortnight and you'll see a rise of 30% . The question is - where is it going next?

SP is mirroring summer last year where it was in 190's until September. I don't know why - company has so many positives. Maybe fear of Brexit is keeping buyers away - i.e. is entirely UK focused and dependent on Universities expanding , though could diversify more to public housing projects - still susceptible to slump in demand / house price falls etc. A dividend boost would help or share buy back maybe. I'm in for long haul and won't sell without good reason. GLA

Yes agreed. Interestingly there's another You Tube video illustrating 40 cruise ships for sale. The old Saga ship is on there - up for 25 million I think. It looks tiny and dated compared to the new one. These new ships will have great appeal and were needed to compete against the big players. Even though I have 4 kids I can see the appeal of targeting the couples / singles as opposed to family friendly. It's what Saga is about. GLA

It's funny - when the SP has been hovering around 40p for 2 days you wonder who the sellers are? Profit takers would have left by now and auto trades triggered on Friday. Got to be steady up from here.............

Problem is lots of piddly low value buys - we need those pension funds to realise this is cheap and buy in tranches of £100k!!

All sorts of stop orders being triggered around 40P - so hard to get past it but agree there is momentum.......

Giving it all back again now...but a strong finish isn't off the cards.

Must be a shed load of folks poised to sell around 40p to either take a target profit / acceptable loss. Need bigger volumes like yesterdays 1% buyer to boost this up. I'll happily take 39p close of play and target mid 40's in the next couple of weeks.

Hmm - did the price drop to fill the big 1% order? (the old tree shake?) - bounced quickly once that was done. Hopefully better day tomorrow.

RSI of limited value considering all going on with this share - certainly not overbought though of course there will be sellers at every level.

£3 a year ago today - no reason why it can't get back to that level if there's no negative news.

Take over target always there and steadily growing with increased US exposure / tie ins etc. It's been a nice steady up since the low 130's - I still need 180 to break even so a long way to go......
