By your argument, infiniteam and yay, the MCAP of UFO and any explorer or (say) R&D company that's not actually producing and selling, should be flat £0.
The value is linked to several factors: what's in the ground, what is its likely future value, how easy/costly is it to extract, etc.
A lot of positives lining up here, of which commodity prices are but one piece, imo.
Feeling the same mix of frustration and bafflement as others here. Patience required. Ukraine conflict obviously leading to jittery investors.
The hesitant will rejoin in a few weeks when the momentum is already taking us past 1p. Too many of the right things lining up here.
Someone needs the cash to pay their gas bill.
Laughs/cries.
Yep. Obviously napthman is utterly perfect* and chooses to ridicule anyone for any perceived imperfection.
*except for a lack of empathy.
Anyway, today's news and (so far) muted response underlines my view from a couple of days ago - we're continuously building a stronger investment case here; incrementally reducing risk as we get more data from samples, and growing the potential value both onsite at Hancook and by acquisition at Munni. And increasing value per ounce of resources.
I suspect the tipping point will be on confirmed income through a JV/farm-in so investors needn't fear a dilution. Happy to accumulate/hold at these levels because it won't stick here for long.
Thanks all. I know we're not exactly in full-flow production, but equally felt it odd that what we are pumping out has escalated profits which haven't yet been reflected in the SP. Same applies to anticipated value and speculation.
As I say - a great opportunity for those joining. Just such a bitter feeling that it's recently on the basis of unprovoked tragedy.
Q4 operations RNS said that Finance is still in place and awaiting conditions of security (paraphrasing because I'm on my phone). Maybe those conditions are expected to be met this month ? I doubt it in the real world, but maybe that's what Mining Journal have in mind ?
Fingers crossed for significant upside in 2022.
Really, Forrest ? That's all you see ? Methinks you exaggerate hugely. There is much room for improvement in UK society - and western democracies as a whole. Racism is dreadful and has no place in a fair and honest society. Domestic violence is a horror for too many people still. Wealth inequality and social injustice, corruption, etc.
But you cannot in any serious way justify the actions taking place in Ukraine by suggesting - entirely spuriously - that it has to do with political correctness (which is one way of labelling the act of treating people as they want to be treated).
I think it either says a lot about you, or you've not really considered your argument.
No burning oil/pitchforks intended or needed. :)
Can't help noticing Brent crude is 55% up in 3 months (40% of that before Putin's insanity) but we're anchored firmly at about 90p. I just wondered if a better informed investor has thoughts as to why. Shorted still ?
I have the same value disconnect at UFO.
It's a great chance to accumulate since we're relatively certain of what's to come. But just frustrating/perplexing.
I think we're in the same boat TLWilliams. But for me SNG is ADV.
I'd doubled my money and was going to sell but had to go to hospital unexpectedly. The next day the drill results turned sour and the SP dropped 90%. I'm now left holding and hoping for a couple of new initiatives to galvanise the price upward because there's really very little point in pulling out the loose change that remains.
Meantime, IQAI sawtooths its way along (10% leap in a day followed by drift for a couple of weeks) until some significant progress is made.
Given what's going on, the market's subdued today, so not expecting any marked upward SP today.
And the RNS this morning is a (critical) stepping stone toward acquisition, which itself is a stepping stone towards development and production. It adds to the evidence for buying/holding (steveiom, you can make your trades all day long). The argument for a correction in the MCAP becomes more compelling with every RNS.
Ahhh, I'd forgotten about Tymers. You've got to love the Filter option.
Meantime, I'm contemplating cashing in a couple of others to load up a little more at the mid .7s
And Ohmni, what Munni Munni has which EUA is hurt by right now, is a safe jurisdiction.
I was just tracking back through Turner Pope's old research reports and thinking it's odd there hasn't been a recent valuation. Maybe after completion of the 100% acquisition of Munni ? But when you think about it, Hamersley ownership moved from 51% to 90%, and has been significantly derisked, EH has commenced exploratory work, San Celso has begun (at last !!) and we've identified very much more clearly what's in the ground in terms of PGMs. There's a very clear path towards MCAP of £100M in the next year. At least from my interpretation. Ramping voices may see it very much higher.
Exactly how I see it, dvharrison.
One strong RNS after another, and no dilution for the foreseeable. Precious metals remain in touching distance of ATH and creeping back upwards. And news due on three fronts. I may have jumped the gun in 2021, but UFO is looking at a transformative year in '22.
All the progress to-date on the tech, and confirmation of the US patent. Only £7M market cap. If the MTAs have gone well, it makes you wonder whether one of the bigger fish has an appetite to buy N4P whole.
I almost sold on Monday but for the first time ever was asked for my username on logging into HL at 4:25. By the time I'd found it, trading had closed. The following day I was going to sell but unexpectedly had to take my child to hospital where I sat for the rest of the day until 6pm. This morning's news is incredibly annoying.
And I sit here in disbelief that I was about 2 minutes too late on Monday to cash in at about 110% up. Today I find myself about 60% down on my original investment. Gutted.
But then I look at my son (recovered, thankfully) and remember what's actually important here. Family first. Money second.
Very droll, star786. I fear it's going to take monumental news to bring me back to profit here. But either one of the MTAs is capable of delivering it. So I'm sticking around for a while.
Don't worry, penstock. Automated/habitual "selling on news". You'll be in profit soon enough.
It's so funny once you've "green-boxed" someone. I see Chris2 has made a comment, can't see what it is, but always see it stirs someone up. It's like the way astronomers infer the details of an invisible planet by its gravitational effect on the things around it.
Except, of course, Chris2 has no gravity. He is entirely without substance.
In other news, it's been an interesting day for UFO. Obviously the news last night/this morning. But the uncertainty with which the market greeted it, has been fascinating. It appears to be neutral because it doesn't impact the cash reserves very much, will dilute the shares, but presumably increase their value on the assumption of what is expected/hoped-for coming out of assays, etc. For me, this is a case of: if Munni leads to big Money then today is a brilliant move. If it doesn't then it's a distraction from the DSO.
Dragline posting to the wrong board again.
Your comments around "it's on its knees" and "12 month low" belong in the CINE board.
You're welcome.
If you haven't already, vinnie2930, read redwine's recent post. It's absolutely spot on. Couple of assumptions in there (necessary when no concrete info being published !) but I think the key thing is this: when do you buy stock ? When the 'gurus' are whipping up a storm on Twitter and the price has risen ? or when it's unloved and languishing in the doldrums ?
I say this as I'm nursing my wounds from N4P today (30% down on my holding - there's no way to safely predict what a critical RNS will do until it's out in the open) but in general it's when good, knowledgeable investors are bewildered that you can feel reasonably safe that the probabilities will work in your favour. Just depends on the timescales. In this case, for me, it's 2022 and into 2023.
