Looks to me like Coral are there as a way of following up on their commitment in their Directors' Report to meet with institutional and private investors on a regular basis.

Re director buying, if we don't see any, it could be because directors would not want to be seen to be profiting from their own botched RNS.

Coral is listed as an exhibitor: "The varied sectors in which Coral Products Plc currently operate is testament to the versatility of the company, as well as their ability to adapt and restructure its markets in order to create growth and value for its shareholders".

Through its tweet, the company sounds reassuringly sanguine about promoting the company to investors, despite the 50% drop in SP this week. They haven't cancelled the interim dividend due on 28 March, so I don't think they are looking to raise capital.

So the drop looks like an overreaction, not helped by the unnecessarily vague and confusing RNS and the febrile state of the market generally this week. However, I suspect we won't see any recovery in the SP till after the investor event, unless we get another RNS in the meantime.

Even if they don't buy, they may do a "bed and ISA". That would also be a positive sign.

"Materially below market expectations" is meaningless without knowing what "materially" and "market expectations" means. No wonder the SP has been crucified.

Shouldn't we all be told what those market expectations are, if they are so critical?

I suspect the SP drop has been greatly overdone. If so, there should be some director buying. Let's see.

I think it's a delayed reaction to all the generally positive noises from the company over the last year or so.

I'd been expecting a re-rating into the low/mid teens for some time. It's now happening at last.

Four £20k "sells" today is clearly rubbish. These are just "bed and ISA" transactions.

Tav - are Hoskings involved in the class action? If not, given their knowledge and contacts, and the work they have already done in conjunction with their lawyers, they obviously should be.

The people who accepted the 1p offer were probably largely those who had recently purchased Flybe shares when the SP was around 2p or 3p, for whom 1p would therefore not be immaterial.

Anyway, those who accepted will have just as much right to compensation as anyone else, provided they owned their shares at the time of the takeover announcement.

Been out of touch, though saw the news of the 1p offer being voted through, the main effect of which is that Kohn will now not be able to carry out his investigation. However, Hoskings must have factored in this possibility, and they probably already have sufficient incriminating information given their contacts and privileged position, so we await with interest their next move.

This is why I keep saying the shareholders won't allow the company to be wound up.

...for those who were wronged when the deal was first announced: it brings us one step closer to getting compensation. Next step is rejection of the 1p offer for Flybe Group plc. Fingers crossed.

exetr - I agree there are things they know about each other they probably wouldn't want to come out. Whether or not those things would come out in court depends on what Flybe's defence would be.

For example, Flybe may want to argue that the contract was invalid for illegality on the part of Connect, but they would not want to do that if Connect could retaliate. The question is, where does the balance of power lie?

But right now, Flybe will do what the advisers, rightly or wrongly, are telling them to do - advisers whose inflated fees depend on the deal going through.
