I wouldn’t mind betting the current SP weakness will stimulate some PDMR buying. That will be the best indicator of what management think of the (over)reaction to the results.

Parcels - always good to get the views of those who work in the industry. Re possible sale of DX, I've always thought a sale to private equity was the most likely outcome, though the last time management did a turnaround, they sold Tuffnells to Smiths News, the news wholesaler.

Port, valid points. Also I should think DX has had its work cut out over the last 3 years reorganising the company to come back from the dead, improving productivity and laying the foundations for long-term growth.

Doesn't seem to be affecting RMG's SP.

Port, the SP had already come off its highs in the upper 30s, down to lower 30's, based on slightly negative comments in the previous update about a "quiet January", so I don't think today's impressive results and optimistic outlook were signposted actually.

Today's RNS should have allayed any concerns - so I do find today's drop difficult to fathom.

I think I'll look away and come back in a few months' time...

Disposal completed today. Group now has £8m net cash, or 9.6p per share.

The update couldn't really be any better, in terms of results and outlook.

So presumably NOTHING would have made today's sellers keep holding.

In which case, I'm curious as to why today's sellers waited for the update before selling.

Bizarre reaction. Maybe a big seller in the background, that's all it takes.

Astonishing results. Adjusted PBT for whole year was originally expected to be around £5m: they’ve already reached £3.9m by the half way point!
And with an even better second half, we’re looking at £10m for the full year maybe.
Adjusted EPS for the half year of 0.65p implies at least 1.5p for the full year, which sooner or later will support a significant rerating of the SP into the 40s.

adeg - profit is profit BEFORE tax. Earnings is earnings AFTER tax. So eps will be in the 30's probably. Still very good though.

In no hurry to inform the market, it seems.

But, assuming it did complete on Friday, I can't blame them for taking the weekend off!

As if the company isn't a great prospect in its own right, the likelihood of its sale (to private equity?) at a premium is also there, looming ever larger as a factor in investors' minds as time goes on.

Talking of positivity, new Rotherham site opening. They're not hanging about! The SP won't be either, at this rate...

I heard the tail end of it without realising it was her! She's a good performer.

Didn't realise she was Chairman of Rick Stein restaurants. That must keep her very busy, but not too busy to affect her Trakm8 contribution hopefully.
