I'm not sure about everywhere else but my mail centre definatlely slowed down last week , no where near as much mail. Also you would no idea we were in lockdown on Friday as the traffic was horrendous . It seemed quite clear to me that a lot more people out and about this time around so maybe not as many people sat at home online shopping .

Yes they did and I strongly believe that was purely down to your insessant need to create drama . They unfortunately aligned themselves with you and you made it so awkward for them they had no choice but to leave . The thing is , all forums have different opinions and heated debate but you just don't let anything go , you turn every topic into a slanging match and it gets very tired very quick . If you just let people voice their opinions and debate everything would be fine but you find that impossible to the point you will get personal and even dig into peoples personal life . You really need to take a look at yourself in the mirror. That's my opinion anyway.

Is it just me or does everyone else see that whenever red is on these boards everything just turns into a little ***** fest and nothing constructive gets talked about ? @Dynamo I have worked for royal mail for 25 years and I completely agree with everything you posted . I was merely pointing out that your post implied ( probably just the wording) that the news article was from 2 years ago when it clearly related to current talks . Everyone's so angry geez

Well as a long standing employee of Royal mail working as an lgv driver I visit quite a lot of different DO's and mail centres and I'm not sure where your 1000,s of employees that demand the SWW are based, because the majority I speak to couldn't give a toss about it really. They would much rather have a decent pay deal and the talks resolved so we can get on with making Royal mail what it needs to be to compete.

Why so defensive ?? I have been a member for 25 years and I am one of those 63.4% that actually turned out to vote yes and have done every ballot. I was merely stating my opinion based entirely on my own observations. I always follow the facebook updates and read all the comments and it's glaringly obvious to me, the difference in the members comments is worlds apart . In march the majority of comments were positive " we are the union " " solidarity" " stand together" and so forth. And still only managed to be 13.4% over threshold . Now I see " I'm cancelling my subs" " union are useless" " union are more interested in subs than members" " all talk no action" . You're in denial of you can't see that. All I said was it will be a bit tougher for the union to achieve a yes vote again should we need yet another ballot. I didn't say they wouldn't get it . So you just need to calm your jets a bit , this is a public forum after all . ??

Postal Workers who are CWU members have today delivered a massive 94.5% YES vote to strike. The vote return of 63.4% of those balloted, for the third time in less than three years, easily met the relatively new Trade Union rules and represents a massive mandate to strike.

Calm down mate , you quoted the 2019 results , I have kindly quoted the march 2020 results above for you . As you will see it's a "miserly" 13.4% above threshold , more than half the amount from the previous ballot and that's when most vocal members were behind the union . YOU now stand corrected.

My point exactly , if I recall the threshold was barley met in the last vote and looking at the amount of negativity this time as apposed to the overwhelming support last time it wouldn't take many members to not even bother voting to put us below the threshold .

Agreed. Just looking at the Facebook comments it appears the union is losing support rapidly , if royal mail are just stalling to run the ballot down and then we can't come to a resolution , I'm really not confidant another yes vote would be achievable.

No , I will only get back in at around £1.60. I still have all my free shares and I'm in the employee share scheme and I made 4k on these with election result rise so I'm more than happy with all that.

Maybe this is already the results of a deal being very close or reached ( insider information )
