I agree about the warrants Notperfect as they would offer tremendous leverage to a rising gold price. Need clarification on mechanics of deal from broker first. Gold nearly back to $1250. :D

Can it not close the hedges?

I'm guessing that any shares bought today qualify for the warrants. Is there likely to be a cutoff date and when might it be? Personally I'd like to sell the Perseus shares when I get them and keep the warrants.

gold price continues to rally, those warrants will be worth a fortune.

Net cash position in September about £3M, which is more that current market cap. Mining licence due any time. Perfect technical chart set up. Plenty of buying. This is looking like an extremely good entry point. Could see major rerate here very quickly on news IMO.

Well the price is now 4.75p on my L2 screen and there have been no trades for 15 minutes. I just bought at 5p on the RNS so more dismayed than deramping. Was £150 up for a moment. Good luck if you're long.

Still we get a get a sell off and slow trading, even on this news. I can only think it's due to the wider conditions across the oil sector with crude getting totally obliterated. Sigh. 5p needs to hold or its back down the plughole. Unreal.

Can they not do the math? Huge placement at massive premium to the current SP and total turn around of the company's financial situation. I make it 8.5p for the placement and SP still only 4.75p. Need to move up sharpish from here. Chunky break fee suggests they expect it to complete. Wakey, wakey.
