In previous months BTC has dumped hard towards futures/options expiry and the next expiry is only a couple of weeks away, so there is certainly the possibility of another break lower in BTC.

So far this month BTC has been well below its March and April highs and if it sets a lower low than last month into expiry that would look quite bearish and might cause major capitulation in the miners. Also ETH has gone pretty much parabolic since the last expiry smash so I wouldn't be surprised if they allow ETH to run on to $5K or higher for the next week or so and then use the next drop in BTC to hit ETH extremely hard and wipe out a lot of hot money. Of course, this is just speculation and may not happen, but its important to consider all eventualities. GLA

No fear McT. Might go for a drive in the roadster later though if the weather holds. Nothing more relaxing than a B-road with more twists than an altcoin price chart.

£46M. Price is in dollars. The NAV figures quoted on here prior to the ICP IPO already included the value of the pre-IPO quote for the investment, so the bump up is only part of that £46M. KR1's other investments are also by and large down a bit before the IPO, so overall the NAV is only up a few pence. Great news though.

Crazy.

KR1 is my biggest ever investment and despite the excellent NAV performance, the volatility the last three months and the messing around with the already dire buy and sell options available has made it an absolute nightmare to manage prudently. Combine that with the collapse in ARB and the other crypto miners and my stress levels have never been higher. Hope everyone else is feeling OK. Wonder if my sat nav goes to Beachy Head. :D

Same with COIN. Regular buy is useless, so KR1 and COIN now appear to be effectively sell only on Barclays. QBT still not available since name change from CLP. MODE, VLRM changed to sell only. NFT and DEFI never allowed. What next? ARB moves to sell only? Really fuming.

This is offset by the rest of the portfolio dropping £30M since yesterday though as cryptos plunged across the board. It will be interesting to see if the newly listed ICP holds its price or sells off at least initially for a while as is often the case post IPO. The colossal launch market cap certainly gives plenty of room for anyone looking to profit take. NAV could be a bit volatile for a while which may present opportunities. Certainly a good development though. GLA.

It might have been nice if the BOD used yesterday's RNS to also give an update on our Dfinity investment. Other listed companies are usually only too happy to release news as it helps generate interest in the business, improve liquidity and keep shareholders informed. It would have taken them five minutes to clear up the name change from DFN to ICP, clarify which is the correct listing for us, ICP or ICP (IOU), mention the transformational event that was about to take place, briefly explain the premise behind the project and why they think its an excellent investment for KR1. Other companies fall all over themselves to release complete non-news garbage, never mind great stuff like this and instead we get absolutely nothing. KR1's behavior is not normal. Someone needs to give them a boot up the jaxy.

I'm still bullish on KR1 and crypto, but I've learnt the hard way that it pays to be skeptical when investing in the stock market and always question your rose tinted views even if you end up confirming the bull case. Others will disagree, but for me today's RNS confirms sub par communication by KR1 and possibly even a degree of disregard or disinterest in investors and their welfare, so my positivity towards investing in KR1 is reduced somewhat. There is more to a good investment than merely a healthy NAV. Listen to shareholders concerns more carefully and be more more responsive and informative with your communications. Good luck all.
