RE: TANTALISING FEW DAYS COMING UP27 Jan 2025 22:22
I think you all overlook the information in Naik's thesis. Firstly it has been around for 11 years. It lists in great detail 10 optimisations for the SHA algorithm. Perhaps the guys currently producing real ASICs for hashing may have glanced at the thesis. I think it would be very naive of QBT investors to think that any published work on faster SHA256 Hashing has been overlooked.
Secondly, the thesis Bibliography references papers going back at least 20 years relating to improvements to the SHA algorithm. This is not cutting edge work QBT are doing, althought Gardin makes it appear so.
Thirdly QBT's whole technology implementation was based upon Naik's thesis. Naik himself was indirectly mentioned in the RNS 2 June 2021 and shortly prior to the announcement set up a company, probably to accept fees from QBT for his work.
" the Company has entered into a one-year service agreement with a UK based international cryptography expert whose specialism is cryptocurrency mining blockchain optimisations.
Working together, the Company believes that there are tangible and disruptive optimisations that can be made at multiple levels within the end-to-end Bitcoin mining process, which could result in faster execution and energy saving. Implementation on a first set of existing optimisations is expected to be ready for testing in the coming weeks.
I doubt anything QBT have said they've done will surprise anyone in the US ASIC mining world.
