Thanks Monti for the overview as like you say it's gets long winded to follow. I think from your overview the company doesn't seem in a good place so unless SN has found ways to rectify this then we have a problem. Since as far as we know there is nothing going on at the moment in terms of court hearings etc now would be a good time for SN to step on some of the problems and try to sort them out. I know a lot depends on the extension as let's face it who is going to put money in if they have little time to extract anything and get it out. On that front I'm not so sure we can wait and hope matters change but instead SN I think needs to go meet the GG and find out exactly what they want. If he just waits it out we risk losing the lot to either claims from Hope and/or YA. If we can get a license agreement extension then we can get investment in, pay off Hope & YA and get the field developed or at least sell off to a SM and get some money. Odds are the GG will want more than the current agreement but something for us today is better than nothing for us ever. It would be nice for SN to communicate with shareholders on this front I think as it can't be all that much of a secret to it all. Any input Looed may have would be good to hear.
Just wondering if anyone has heard of any good news of significance on this share of recent? Or in fact any news?
Just kind of been getting the feeling that not a lot if anything is happening. Kind of like SN & the board have gone off for a snooze. I mean are they waiting for all shareholders including themselves to pass on or something? Last I heard they were having court cases in 2023 assuming they don't get pushed back which they nearly always seem to. I mean are they serious about bringing this share to fruition? We know that there is go in this share from the data, the wells drilled, tracked, etc and the fact that ZM tried to run off with it all. I just think it's ridiculous that since getting it back of him stuff has seemingly been allowed to drift.
If SN is not interested in moving things forward, we gear nothing from him and no company news in general circulation isn't there something shareholders can do? I can't believe a company that was listed in London with Offices in the US and the shareholders can't do anything. Normally my impression was that the US & UK generally have legislation in favour of shareholders. Surely this can be sorted out one way or another before we all die of old age? Thoughts anyone???
I agree jv123 its utterly ridiculous that we are left to sit and wait with no news whatsoever. I mean if FRR need an extended license and the GG aren't playing ball why doesn't SN just go to the US government and lobby them to put pressure on the GG? It worked before with the arbitration decision with the GG surely it can work the same miracle again? The western world needs oil & gas urgently, FRR are apparently sitting on a lot of the stuff and can supply it. Georgia needs the support of the US with Russia being so aggressive and threatening. So surely the US gov could intervene at the behest of FRR and tell the GG to play ball unless it wants to be left on its own against the Russian threat with an economy collapsing around its ears.
At the rate FRR seen to be moving all of this oil & gas would do us any good we'll all be too old and past it or just not around. Time FRR pulled it's finger out and sorted out the mess it's in and come good on all of this I think.
This is also stupid, we're supposed to be pumping a lot of oil and gas by now but instead we have all this court b*llocks with all the potential of the field being wasted and everyone getting old and grey.
As far as I can see the real issue here is Frontera getting a deal with the GG to extend the license. Once they extend the license then they can get investment/sell out etc. So let me guess that they are going to the GG at the moment and they are asking for too big a slice of the pie - that they are being greedy and Frontera have no choice other than to say no it's not worth are while at that. That, that is the deadlock here really and asking greedy twits to be reasonably to get the job done for all is like banging your head against the wall - their greed trump's and blocks all progress so their ignorance means no one gets nothing as they think they should pretty much get it all for being sat on their f a t a r s e doing sweet FA. Is there really any hope that we will ever be able to get away from this stupidity?
RR my view on Kherson is the same as in this recent article:
https://www.newsweek.com/ukraine-retaking-kherson-could-create-battle-similar-mariupol-1720799
Basically if they have any sense Ukraine will avoid trying to retake Kherson, by-pass it and let that be resolved in any peace deal/left till the end of the war. As the article states its just too difficult to retake without the city being destroyed in the process.
As with this share who knows, we hear of no developments other than the occasional court case update. In theory the value is what's in the ground and that has been proved up but also on what license agreement can be agreed in terms of extention. While I would wish something to come forward now it looks like we are going to have to wait till 2023 when (hopefully) the court cases are done with. Still there is no guarantee we will get anything as it depends how they go I assume. I take it they won't be put back further.
I personally think something could be done now but then I'm not in the company with an insider's view. I just get the impression that there doesn't seem to be any desire to get this to fruition soon but then I don't know what's going on if anything.
It's kind of a shame that some if the big players involved went out for themselves, well tried to and in the process dragged it all out for everyone including themselves who probably won't benefit by going out and trying to take all for themselves anyway. If everyone had worked together we would have all had a very good return on this share by now instead of everyone stood around penniless. The price of others greed and the stupidity it causes I think.
I agree WHamBoy I too am pretty fed up with all the messing about by FRR. All these silly court cases. It should have been a straight forward issue from the get go. FRR find oil & gas, they get a big investor or SM onboard or sell off and they turn what they have into a lot of money for all involved. It really is as simple as that, no need for silly games by anyone. At the moment we are just lacking any communication from the company as to what is happening. They seem to want to go on but I wonder if their interest is only in sitting in court rooms. I just don't get the impression they are doing anything at all at FRR unfortunately. I just don't see the point whiling away the time when the license is running out. Whoever in power in Georgia will want to extend a license agreement to a company that sits there and does nothing? I just don't see why SN can't get some deal done to really get Frontera moving, that's all we need here I think.
If you look up the stats you'll find Germany is heavily dependent on Oil & Gas. They get this mostly from Russia. We have our own supply of Oil & Gas in the North sea and get supplies mostly from elsewhere in the world. So while I support Ukraine in its struggle I can understand that Germany can't afford for its economy to crumble under an Oil & Gas shortage it is currently dependant upon. I'm not so sure it's Germany acting as in support of Russia by giving little to Ukraine, etc I just think they are stuck in the situation they are in and can't do a lot about it on a short time frame. They've known about it for years of course and should have acted sooner to avoid being dependent on Russian Oil & Gas and in that one they are to blame as for cheapness they took that path to avoid extra costs on their economy. So on that point I think they have let others down over Russia but I don't think they are supportive of Russia for its own sake.
Something must be happening now surely? It's been months since Zaza was found to have played a dodgy and so surely an opportunity to move on and try and bring FRR to fruition? So far just more radio silence for the last few months. Anyone able to sleuth out any info other than news on court cases? I recall a few of you guys on here were good on that in previous years. Looed, any sort of inkling whether anything is still going on in FRR? Any idea if something good might still be in the pipeline?
WHamBoy, what news from Georgia is that? I thought the registery had been amended back to FRR/they got the field back.
Wasn't this the one where Zaza wanted money for Salary as his time as Director which he didn't state that he wanted at the time? Etc. Looks to me that he lost as the 'Appelees' emphasis on the 's' would I assume be SN, et al. I think they put the Appellant's name first also as listed. Hadn't followed it closely but wasn't this the one where Zaza went ahead without counsel/dropped counsel or they resigned as couldn't get hold of him or get paid? Looks like Zaza is being shot down, just need to chase up any money Green Capital may have taken by whatever way possible now I guess.
What's the likelyhood of something happening with the company now? I mean in our minds what might they do? We don't seem to be getting any communication from them and that doesn't give me confidence that they will in the near future. So at the moment apart from court cases FRR have apparently gotten back in control of the gas & oil field. So are they trying to get a deal with a SM? Or maybe gone back to Baker Hughes and discussed development of the field like before, or developing the field with an investor?
I'm just hoping that they are doing something and not just looking at long grass growing longer at the Oil & Gas field. Would be interested to hear what others may think where the state of play may be? I just get the impression at times that despite the apparent gold mine we are sat on those at the top of FRR are happy to carry on sitting and let time slip by.
To my mind it would be easiest to get someone like BP in. They have just split from their tie up with Russian firm Rostoft so a deal with FRR in a big oil & gas field in Georgia would be a perfect alternative for them. If it were me I would get BP, FRR and the GG together in a joint meeting essentially asking the GG that here we have BP ready to come in with us on this one, they can develop a huge field of nodding donkeys and drill down and tap into those massive gas reserves within months, they just need the agreement extending, so if they come onboard are you willing to extend it? To which both the GG and FRR should be overjoyed that they will be no longer looking at vast acres of scrubland with just big rumour and endless pathetic court cases going no-where and precious little being done. The GG should readily agree to extending the license agreement, they will get tax, profit and a lot of money and jobs flowing around. FRR finally cash in on their investment and us poor shareholders hopefully go home less poor and no longer having to hear endless bs. A good easy result all around I think here it can be as easy as that.
Any recent news on Frontera? Could anyone find out if there is much happening in any way? Anything happening on the ground?
I would guess they are continuing to pursue Zaza for the money, etc, I would certainly hope so. We are apparently back in control of the oil & gas field nice I assume so have we started back up operations?
I also wonder whether there has been any movement of getting investment in. I know SN seemed to suggest there was some during the court cases against Zaza though I am not sure how definite if at all that may be. My mind has always been that we needed a big investor(s) in to sort this out. The case against Hope no doubt rumbles on, but I always kind of regarded getting a deal done with an investor or super major is where real progress is likely to occur. Frontera lacks the funds to make a go off it and I doubt money will be recovered from Zaza quickly. For me the sensible thing for Frontera to do is get serious about getting a big deal done to make a good return for investors on its oil & gas field.
"Pukin will not stop until he is stopped"
I definitely agree with this sentiment, there's no negotiating with a bully, they will just think they have won and get even worse. I think both sanctions and giving the Ukrainians weapons is a winning strategy. We need to press further on this front and I think Boris/the UK has taken the lead on this and is intending to push forward in this direction. Currently the Russian economy is suffering around 15 percent inflation, 20 percent interest rates, food shortages, etc, etc. If we can get their economy to collapse then Pukin will be facing more serious problems at home as well as a decimated, demoralised military. If we can stop Pukin in Ukraine then we stop him everywhere else including Georgia. Let's not let up on him by any negotiation to give away Ukrainian territory to him, that will just embolden him further and he'll go after Georgia, etc next. Let's push Pukin to defeat and force him to give up the areas of Ukraine & Georgia that he has unjustly taken.
Arsenal, Zaza has basically nicked a load of Oil under a phoney company setup, he's been outed with that. He's still got the money from that and/or his family do, that should be pursued and any other money they have got up to the $10 million. It's basically stolen money and money now due to due to FRR in court fees and damages, damages such as not being able to do much with this oil field over the past year or so and effort needed to reverse the situation caused.
It's basically money FRR needs to move forward. Deleting some company shares up to the value of $10 million doesn't really help a lot. Those shares don't necessarily have any worth or a lot of worth till this comes good, if it comes good. It really is a very last resort in my opinion, squeezing ever cent out of Zaza should be the up most priority or he could end up as largely getting away with what he set out to do, steal oil money and run off so he could stay a rich man. Let's get that back off him and see how he likes being a poor man :)
"If I read the judgement correctly, Zaza will be paying some costs to FRC running into about $10million. He is also sentenced to 10 months in jail for court contempt."
That's wonderful news, just what that a**hole deserves. The money will definitely come in handy for FRC though I'm doubtful as to how easy it will be to get it out of him. I think FRC definitely need to pursue that, even a million dollars or so, whatever Zaza has got and/or passed onto his family. Any sort of money in the millions of dollars could really transform FRR, pay of debts, develop the oil field, later gas field, pay the workers their wages, etc, etc. Let's hope this comes through for FRR.
How about selling FRR off to the Germans? They need Oil & Gas like yesterday. We've got both, we've already got some oil wells and with finance many, many more could be sunk by them and then there is the gas also. Let's face it that's all what FRR have got going for it, FRR have no finance behind them unless they have since gained some, so unless they have recently gained finance I would say we have a company that is just too much of a basket case to make good on this oil & gas field.
We all basically want out, Hope probably wants out and just to get a profitable return on his investment. Us shareholders want out and to get a profitable return on our investment. I image the BOD and possibly SN want the same. We're all getting on, what's the point of a pointless p*ssing match with only time passing to watch. Time to call a day to this one I think and see who will pay good money for a a big Oil and Gas field while demand for both is now very high!
"Seriously, look at price of oil and gas right now, this could have been so good if people had worked together rather than tear each other apart.
If the gas was worth billions before its worth multi billions today.
OMG idiots"
My sentiments exactly Pyrotech. I think a statement from the company might be nice now however brief. Just something to acknowledge that they are getting back on track.
Like you say the though and I've said it many times on here before if they had just worked together and saw that they (and we) could all do well enough out of this instead of play silly games risking it all to get all we could have all walked away very happy and more than wealthy enough not to care about having every last dime.
I personally think that (I assume) now we are back in control FRR should see if one of the Majors are interested in a buyin/out, etc. There is no certainty at the moment that Georgia will be invaded also but of course they are very vulnerable. The Majors have lost out a lot having to cut their ties with Russia and Europe needs Oil & Gas, and happy days we apparently have an abundance of both:)
So despite the precarious situation they may be willing to take a punt. Georgia for its security really need to join NATO and have troops present in the country before any move by Russia is touted towards invasion.
I definitely think the company need to make a push for it now.
That's great news Looked :) Hopefully things will start turning around in this company now. Hopefully SN will get stuff kick started on the ground now and get the company sorted out with what it needs to make a success of this operation. With the sanctions on Russian Oil & Gas and the need for Oil & Gas in Europe there should be plenty of interest in FRR from the Major Oil Companies. Haven't followed this real closely of late as know it wasn't going to be settled overnight. Am I right in thinking that FRR are pursuing ZM for damages? In the US was it?
Anyhow just really hoping that SN is able to make a push with getting it all up and running and progressing the company forward towards a good deal as the clock is ticking as they say.
Sounds like they may be making progress on an out of court settlement perhaps. Neither SN or SH seem to be in any hurry to resolve this quickly possibly they are both worried that the court case may not go their way. Does at least show that there must be big value in that oil & gas field otherwise they wouldn't be taking it so far. Only problem is to date very little development seems to be happening with that oil & gas field. Maybe when Zaza gets his rear kicked soon we might get some progress. If SN can get the place back up and running, developed and money start rolling in then we may be in a better situation regarding SH. Only a few days now to the final ZM court case isn't it?
